Maybe it's time to update the mods, are they on here or not? This is an open forum and rival teams supporters visit. Of course they say they don't drop by much

How did people feel on Natta's little stint as a LB during the game? I felt he slotted in nicely when he got there and seemed more comfortable than when he plays at CB. But; it was the final 15 of the game, and it would be a shame to see Wilmering moved to the bench considering he is playing quite well. Positive of Wilmering on the bench though is he can be brought on as a winger or a left back so you're covering the entire left side with him coming onto the pitch.

Adding to this, I felt Susjnar looked good, and I feel that would improve next to Cancar, who is more commanding than Grimaldi which would give us a lot of mongrel across both our CB's that Natta doesn't offer. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts.

Don't know what's going on with Natta, I get worried every time he touches the ball these days. He did pull off a couple of nice passes though

That was my thought last season, He shoudlve been dropped very early on but Stanton persisted and it cost us a fair bit because he we wouldnt track runs and other players were sneaking in behind him often.

I thought Natta was holding his own right up until there was talk about him getting a move and then his form dropped away.

Yeah, have been talking with Frodo about it today..

Rumour from X/Twitter was that its 26 year old Brazilian forward Willissol who was playing for Brusque in Brazilian second league..
No idea if there is anything to it.
Didn't the paper say something about an Italian the other day?

We’re close to signing Wellissol and APIA striker Ben Gibson. Once we’ve signed both of them that’s it for us, this’ll be our squad for the season

I'm trying to find things not to like about Stanton but I'm not seeing many. Is it not a good thing that a former Sydney FC youth player wants to be coached by Stanton?

You answer is probably Yes and that's the reason a local hasn't been signed.

Look at the Australian Cup performances by some of the other state NPL teams. In the round of 32 , Victorian NPL teams beat A League opposition in all 3 matches between them. I can't see that happening between NNSW NPL teams and A League opposition.

I mentioned Gibson back in June on this forum and that he was worth a shot. Very quick, but could have easily scored more for APIA. I Have seen him be a little wasteful at times but hopefully will convert more as he gets more experienced.

Kiwi player at Edgeworth was mentioned before, his numbers have been incredible this season. I can't remember in recent seasons a striker with such a good goals to games ratio. If they were going to take a player from the local NPL it would have to be him.

It?s all gone a bit quiet on signings, a few clubs have started to roll out some big guns, I?m not overly confident with our squad looking at others, could be a long season
