Stanton is undoubtedly a major problem for us, but any gcoach is going to struggle to get 90 great minutes out of a team with this little experience. To say there's no point is just unecessarily defeatist when it's obviously useful, irregardless of coach to add some experienced players into this team, especially in our midfield next to Grozos and anywhere in our front line.
As I said until he is gone no point and what player with any respect is gonna watch his coaching and wanna play for him??. We have talent but no one guiding or devleoping them

Stanton is undoubtedly a major problem for us, but any coach is going to struggle to get 90 consistent minutes out of a team with this little experience. We need experience and we need it fast, a some solid hand in the midfield to partner with Grozos (be a struggle to find worse then what we have) and someone in our front line would do our younger players a world of good
I would hope in the future the only people next to Grozos are those in the stands

Dane Ingham is gonna be out for a minimum of 12 weeks. I assume we’ll move Aquilina permanently to RB and bring on someone else in that RM/RW role that we’ve been deploying him in

I reckon the rotation between Taylor and Bayliss will stop and both will be brought into the team with Aquilina moving back (which I agree with you is the likeliest replacement)

Agree with that however Aquilina has been playing like he has had a leg removed in the off season. When we talk about players who have regressed this season he is leading the pack by a country mile.

Agree when he's on the left. All his 3 goals this year have come when he's been on the right. While he won't be the attacking winger, hopefully he's more at home back on the right.

His moving to accommodate Adams really broke up the Taylor-Aquilina wing combination that was working late last year.

Article in the Herald today about Stanton hoping to bring in some new recruits in the January transfer window. If we do bring in players, where do people think we need improvements?

Start with Stanton himself and then a real number 10 provider type. I'm ok with Adams and the Gypo Simon lookalike and Vidic for goals but those blokes can't be expected to create and convert there own opportunities. Not a team in this league goes better than average without a proper 10.

Harry Van Der Saag released on compassionate terms by Brisbane Roar yesterday in order to move back to NSW to be closer to family.

Not saying we need another right back with Ingham and Aquilina but Van Der Saag did come through the Sydney youth team and into the first team under Stanton. So there well could be interest especially with Ingham out.

Personally, I think Van Der Saag is very underated and a better right back then Ingham or Aquilina. Van Der Saag can also play higher up the park.

Your 100% correct. I originally only seen the brief presser from Brisbane.

I wouldn’t be mad about signing another RB, whether it’s him or someone else. Ingham got injured and instead of moving Aquilina back there we put Cancar in that spot. For me, we view him as being more a RM or RW, so for me we really only have Ingham on the books as a real RB.
