I have no issue with it either, it's why I laugh when clubs adamantly deny paying players when everyone knows they do

I love this quote! But I personally do believe there is a huge difference in giving someone a "wage" over paying their rego.

What if they have to pay their rego but then get paid to play? What if their player payments are then less than their rego?

If it doesn't exceed the rego amount, than you're still not paying them over and above. I would consider it a reimbursement.

    How much is rego, generally?

Alas you are wrong, there is a huge difference. One sees you getting paid (that's were you're in credit) the other sees you paying $0 or reduced by x$ to participate.

Sorry, no, it's all the same, you're paying them to play whether that money goes direct to the player or the club cuts out the middleman and gives the money direct to the association it is all the same. Anyone who tries to deny it is being intellectually dishonest.

There is nothing wrong with doing either way just man up and admit it.

By your logic, all clubs pay players (including junior teams, All age, O/35 etc) since the cost of rego is subsidised by sponsorship and other forms of income.

Most people with common sense would say that this is not the case, and that there is a difference.

I do agree that paying regos starts to blur the line a little, but I think you've been on this crusade for long enough and should just let it go lol.
You're not changing anyone's mind no matter how many times you repeat the same lines.

I am all for covering registration/paying players if clubs are financially viable to do so.

If someone is being paid a fee a week that equates to a registration fee, you would classify that as paying someone?s registration.

John Majurovski from Croatia being paid $10000 is paying a player.

Doesn't follow my logic at all. Club sets rego at $450, then tells some players if they play they won't have to pay it. That's paying the player.

I am pretty sure the crusade are those pretending they don't pay players but actually do by paying for the player's rego.

Of course as he giving him the financial incentive to play without paying rego. Let me know when either of that happens, of course.
