For the moment at least, they always triumph.
If we win there will be much rejoicing.
I can only hope we show half as much fight today

When i see players like Bayliss who have great potential being shifted around from position to position this tells me the bloke picking the team is clueless to what he wants from this team.
Could get ugly today , IMO too many players have regressed from last last season.
I've got a bad feeling about today as well. There's nothing on the bench, let along a bunch of kids and two senior pros (one who is in goal) running around out there today.
Going to pick Kosta for our PotM today - bloke has been busting his gut in midfield so far this year.

Looking better in the 3-4-2-1 this week. More comfortable.

Susnjar almost undid it all

We've rode more than our luck this arvo. That was coming.
That's a dressing room killer by the body language

If I'm an agent, I'm trying to get my player out of this joint.
It's damaging their careers

I've had time to think about the result over the weekend. If I was told we'd have lost 2-0 without having watched it, then I wouldn't have been surprised. I think what annoyed me is the manner. Maybe I went a bit early calling for "Stanton out" straight away.
Yes, we rode our luck. Yes, the conditions probably helped us as much as it hindered their performance. 1st v 11th - what should we expect?
What annoyed me is the impact the loss will/could have on the team. They worked so hard in defence in that game that to lose it the way we did so late I fear will do more damage than two early goals would have, for example.
We really struggled to get on the ball and when we did create a chance we didn't have the composure or ability to finish.
We did look better organised but we struggled to get out. Have a look at the passing network and there was a total of 15 passes combined between our starting front 4 players. They were anonymous.
So we're up against Adelaide next week - another big challenge. Then off to Perth which is a massive match for us - an early wooden spoon battle in their backyard which is a historical grave for us. A week off and then to Wellington.
A tough run to come where I think our best chance for points is against Perth.

No you did not go too early on the Stanton out. Anybody with more than a passing interest in Football can see we are a horrible team to watch, IMO we are a worse team to watch than the one that went around last season. We cant string passes together, We can't keep possession in the front third and keep pressure on. Our 2 CD's are a heart attack a minute and our captain should be a pastry cook as he is the master of turnovers. I could keep going but you get the idea.
The real concern is these are issues we see week in week out not just a one off poor performance. I get our owners regard the club as a shop window club to sell talent but not even that talent can look good in a poorly managed team.
