Theoretically we need to win 7 of the next 9 games to make the 6
Telegraph have us coming 9th, but I think we can do better than that
No reason why we can't get a win tomorrow
Perth beat them![]()
Thank you, M2BW.
Auckland are consistent, but not a great team.
Feel like the subs offered nothing. I know we have 2 more matches in the next week or so, but I feel like there was another two points for us there tonight. I would have kept Rose on.
Once again, we had no ideas against 10 men.
The Rose sub was a real head scratcher, especially when the choice was made to bring on Welli and Vidic, a top two combo we started the season with that never produced results.
Never been overly impressed with Ingham but he looked horrendous coming on and really killed that right hand side for us. Was Will Dobson injured because he would have given a lot more energy in that role.
Stanton was out coached again, we were braining them in the first 20 then Aucks changed there shape, from there onwards he was clueless, mind boggling subs, credit to Adams for goal of the year contender, missed pen didn?t help
Welli trying to beat their entire team and then fouling their player was LOLs

Also our keeper gave them their goal, it reminded me of an old Brian clough call, he use to call his keeper jigsaw because he fell to pieces when the ball came near him, what?s with all the punching and parrying these days, catch the ball ffs
It is going to be an interesting week. 17 days without a match and then 3 in 7 days.
Depth has come back available at a good time, however the substitutions showed they aren't at the level of the first team yet.
Stanton's comments around resting Kota will be interesting (he's carrying a niggle). I personally would like to see Aquilina out there over Ingham. Do you bring in Susnjar or Cancar instead...don't know.
The 3 games is also going to push Timmins and Bayliss - I think we will see Charles start either City or Western United.
Wellisol looked to be lacking much sharpness - that whole left side was rather ineffective yesterday. And it was more a match for Gibson, not Vidic - it was a match of pace in behind not a physical battle.
Six undefeated is good (first time since Feb 2023) - and if we can do it again and go 7 undefeated it will be the first time since 15th December 2010 (there you go Jimmy, save you looking it up for the paper)

Jimmy going on a run of 'well actually-ing' people on twitter back in the day when they were correctly celebrating Griff scoring the winner in the Grand Final was the reason social media was invented.
To his credit he eventually did realise he was wrong and repented. Pretty sure Jimmy spreading #fakenews directly led to Trump getting elected.
Hail Trump.
Hail Griff.
GRIFF!!!!!!!
Taylor looked gassed from the start of the game yesterday - but as you said usually does struggle later in games when he loses the explosiveness and sharpness that his game is based around.
Natta / Timmins both had excellent games yesterday. We seemed to be playing with a lot more confidence on the ball particularly in the first 30 mins. Lost our way a bit after the penalty save.
Once Auckland parked the bus we never really looked like creating anything - not a new issue for us.
Overall, decent performance and you would probably take the result before kickoff (not considering our ladder standing)
Agree. It was a point more than I was expecting.
And if we miss the finals it's not so much about what we do now, but more what we didn't do earlier in the season.
Of interest, we've scored in 12 consecutive matches now - the longest run since the 24 consecutive we achieved in 17/18.

Natta lately has flourished back into the kind of player we all thought he could be. In the back end of the game when we brought on Susjnar and pushed Grozos up the park, Natta went into that sweeper role and it really suited him.
It’s abundantly clear that Wellisol isn’t sticking around next season, so for me I think we’d be better off just keeping him off the bench all together. Give players like Bracco or Nunes a run and let them get some minutes under them
Is Nunes not ready? All I ever hear is that he's carving up for our youth team and getting goals and assists with regularity. Considering Wellisol has only been given 10 minutes or less across his past bunch of games, it seems that time would be more beneficial for a young player with some talent, otherwise what was the point of signing players like him to scholarship contracts.
