so what do you guys make of ozil's form?

seems pretty dire and it's not a recent thing.

Needs a stint on the pine. If he reacts badly to that sell him in January. If he comes good he comes good. Per and Ramsey need a slap I the face too but I wouldn't bench them........yet

Imagine how good Ozil could be if he was played in the middle of the pitch instead of shunted out onto the wing?

    Wenger makes some bizarre choices.

I wouldn't say his form is "dire" but it is clear he's not at the top of his game.

Playing him the middle would weaken the side way too much in his current form and wenger loves to let players find form by playing them on the left.

    He'll come good.

well to be fair that's where he played his best football for real and germany before he came to arsenal. wenger played him through the middle when he made the move but eventually shifted him out wide when his form dropped to take pressure off him.

i dunno, 1 goal and 2 assists in his last 20 odd games is pretty dire. he's been one of my favourite players for years but there's no point beating around the bush.

he was a passenger in the german side at the world cup and hasn't looked himself for a long time in an arsenal shirt.

the thing that strikes me most about him now is that his head has dropped. he looks like he's struggling for confidence and i'm not sure how that came about.

Wenger just needs to buy a new Pat Viera to stick next to him in the middle.
Paul Scholes was known for only having half a game but Fergi knew it so complemented him by putting the right players around him (like Roy Keane, who like Viera, was also a psychopath).
Scholes with half a game was also England's best midfielder in the last 25 years by a country mile.
    Ozil is class.

Hey can you guys do me a favour, seems you lot are the success behind Mesut's turn around in form. So head on over to the Liverpool thread and give Stevie G a serve about his form. Cheers

i'm kinda happy to see wellers get that hat-trick.

not sure if it's something we will be seeing much in the future, that gala defence was nothing short of shocking, but i've always been a fan of his.

    WOW.

i have a mate who doesnt follow the game much, but follows "the numbers"

he put 20 on Arsenal to win before kickoff
foolowing the live betting he than put 20 of Anderlecht at some stage when the odds had tipped in the favourof covering his bet - he was gouing to braek even no matter what.

then with 3 minutes to go, arsenals odd had bolted so he put his original stake on the gunners, while still down 1-0.

Bugger just messaged me ...... 2500 bucks better off.
