Les Murray said it best on twitter last week - this is Roar but at about half the speed of the the last two seasons.
Under Ange, there would be one or two touch passing, movement ahead was fluid and there were multiple options when someone was on the ball. Now they are having to hold the ball up a lot more because whoever has possession isnt seeing anyone ahead of them making any runs or movement at all. Its all too slow and teams are able to contain Brisbane if they are set up properly.
    Agree with this.

The claims that have been made for a while now that Rado was the man behind all of Brisbane's success is fading somewhat. It's still too early to judge how successful he'll be as a coach in the long term, but certainly Brisbane don't seem to have the same conviction about playing the way Ange had them playing. The option to go long used to be non-existent, now I see lots of balls hit across and up the field, along with a decent mix of play along the ground to be fair.

Ange has had his troubles establishing his playing system at Melbourne, but the signs are quite obvious that he's going to be successful, it's just a matter of time.

i don't know, their passing game really does look slower and slightly disjointed at the moment.

The biggest thing i have noticed is when they are playing diagonals ball to their wide men it seems to go behind them everytime, making the wide man check his run an lose all momentum. Brisbane under ange barely ever lost that momentum going forward.

Im finding Brisbane are very static in their movement. There isn't a lot of people continually moving as there was the previous years.

Anybody see the roar-victory game? I thought they were brilliant and would've close to the best game they've played inc. ange era. They were sharp as and berisha looked like he was gonna score with every touch. So I wouldn't count them out yet!!

They were talking last night on Fox (can't remember the Roar player) but I thought he was hinting that Rado has the technical ability but Ange put the passion into the team.

This I can see. Rado may be all the brains behind Roarcelona over the past few years, but Ange would have been the one to deliver the spray to the team when they needed it.

And rado the shoulder for the players to cry on, now that the shoe is on the other foot the players are not so impressed.

The contract issues they had recently wouldn't have helped can see portaloo jumping ship.

If he goes overseas it'll be a massive loss to the league not just roar, how Jedinak gets picked over him in NT is beyond me. And Kilkenny while we're at it!!

Don't really see what the problem is. At the end of the day their reign as the bees knees isn't gonna last forever. To me they hit their zenith the season they took down the Gypos in the GF .Yeah they held on last year and got over the line but teams were getting closer and closer to matching them. This year again the gap has closed even more.

You also have to look at the desire of these blokes. Do they have the desire that will be firing the Gypos or Perth come finals time to get the toilet seat?? I don't believe they will be as motivated.

Not to mention they aren't far away from getting some positive results happening and the 4-1 hiding to Heart may be just the thing to kick start their season. Couple of days of self reflection and analysis of what isn't being done right may be just what the doctor ordered. Thank **** the Smurfs are going to Suncorp to be on the end of the backlash. If they can't bag a hatful against these clowns they might as well wave the white flag of surrender
