    Terrace v wallsend
Off the kick off lez ran through 6 blokes wallsend keeper pulled off a fair save, after that wallsend had the better of play got a lucky goal Bloke that scored it didn't even really wanna celebrate haha, after that terrace had the better of play stealing 2 before half time, after halftime wallsend had the better of play wide man beat 2 of our defenders rather easily before slotting, 3rd goal a well taken finish, terrace had a chance to make it 3-3 but keeper touched it over the bar, momentum was a big thing yesterday, good game to be apart of hard but played in good spirit. We get bobby and nick humble back next week so we will be giving this a huge crack at wallsend

Haha. We had a good laugh about the kick off after the game. It went along the lines of:
Ok game time, oh wow, oh god, oh god, oh crap, shit shit!, oh FU-oh thank god.

Honestly, we played poorly. Made things very hard for ourselves.
Lumberjack threatened as usual, and we were far too lose in midfield for my liking. In saying that, your lads in the centre were a world better than a month ago.
In the top third we were abysmal again; squandered a couple of good chances, and a bunch of half chances. Will look to be more ruthless this weekend and convert more into goals.

Reds really took the game in the second half. A 'shots on target' counter would show that we had the better run. We just need to work on the finals 2 passes/decisions in the top third.

    3rds Suburb 2-4 Kotara
    Res Kotara 0-3 Suburb
    1st Nelson Bay 1-3 Suburb

    1st Grade
Nelson Bay scored early in the game first 5mins with a well taken shot after pinching the ball high in the Suburb half. From their the rest of the 1st half was a scrapy game some loose challenges were thrown around but all in all Nelson Bay were good for the lead with Suburb rarely threatening Bays goal with both teams making few chances.
2nd Half different story Suburb came out and started playing some really good football although Bay sat really deep and let them play which in the end was Bays down fall they were happy to sit deep and give Suburb the lions share of possession often having 11 men behind the ball and they held out until about 10 to go when threw some good build up play Suburb got their 1st after a low cross was turn in. From there spaces started showing in Bays defense, something expected from chasing shadows for 30mins the 2nd goal came from a goal mouth scramble with bay failing to clear and a nice finish from Suburb. 3rd goal was sheer class Bay defense continuing to dive in and getting punished for it with a good calm finish sending the traveling crowd home very happy and setting Bay a huge task at the Nest next weekend.

Right on the money. The controversial part of the game was when the suburbs player should have been sent for a bad challenge on a bay player when he was on a yellow. But yes Suburbs were Class and will be quite the challenge keeping a clean sheet next week to advance through

You guys can feel a bit hard done by, it took a few challenges before the yellow card even made an appearance. Is always going to be hard to give a second yellow in a finals match unless its clear cut. Our game yesterday could have had a few yellows shown but was glued in the refs pocket . 1st half you held your own today and looked to frustrate Suburbs, second half you seemed to run out of attacking options and a bit of steam. An Injury to your sweeper and a positional change saw the match swing in Suburbs favour. Well done to Suburbs for not panicing and playing for the full 90, fitness showed today and payed off. 3 goals in the last ten minutes. Good luck next week for both sides.

If your referring to the penalty claim in Reserve grade I was 3 feet from it the striker was on his way down before the keeper got near him was a good call from the ref and done well to ignore the heckles, he made some bad calls but made bad calls for both teams.

well majority of your team didn't think the same....anyway your keeper stayed on and made some big saves...

The best way to describe the lower grade refs is incompetent. Bewildering how they were given semis considering the amount of zone league games on today. Way too many non-decisions. Incident occurs, look towards linesman, he shrugs shoulders, neither have a clue and wave play on.

the no. 20 for suburbs shopuld of been booked for the challenge in the second half and received his marching orders for mine after been booked in the first half.. was the worst challenge in the match (not saying it was malicious or anything just in the context of every other challenge in the fixture) and got nothing.. i wonder if he wasnt on a yellow already if the ref would of produced a card??

big task for us next week but we wont be going down without a fight, the last 10 minutes was the difference yesterday
