Yep, I reckon that will happen. Like RvP - show no interest or be linked at all and then come out of the woodwork and sign him up

Problem is you'll be giving up Rooney to get him.
Don't put it past Mr Alex. Bloke knows when to pull the trigger.

i don't see how it would mean we would have to let go of Rooney, especially seeing as how Wayne is Sir Al's golden child.

Nah, just saying to be fair to the rest of the comp Rooney should leave if Bale comes.
Seriously though he'll swindle some suckers into paying top dollar for blokes like Young, Valencia, Evens etc to cover Bales cost.

    Probably Liverpool.

why would we sell evans? he's been one of our best defenders for a few years now.

i'd double young to liverpool on my bike but i'd like to see valencia stay on because it's clear he is not playing at anywhere near full fitness.

Cause Sir Alex would sell his own kids to be able to afford another player who's gonna win him a title.
If only there were more gaffas like him they might also have a million trophies.
    Dude has zero sentiment.
(Which is a good thing in his profession).

So was it a red? did United really get the short end of the stick or did Real and Turkey conspire to bring down the Mighty United?

My streaming dropped out at the 55 minute and never came back

only person that thought it was a red was the one that mattered.

defo not a red, also probably should have had a penalty. still, we didn't take our chances when they came. no shame going out to real madrid but i thought we deserved to go through more or less.

now to make sure this 12 point lead doesn't slip away.

Harsh red but thought it was ok call. Remember World Cup final the ref got slaughtered for not sending (dejong?) for a similar tackle.
More scrutiny should be put on the old man for leaving Rooney out.
That RM kit though, really quite nice.

without wanting to sound like a wum, i thought the red card was completely fair enough.

    Shelvey's revenge!

(seriously though, its a studs up high foot into a blokes stomach - all the manure wankfest in the media about how it was a bs red card is ridiculous)

the ball is coming from over his sholer, his eye is always on the ball and there is clearly no intent. His foot is barely above waist hieght and this is how almost every soccer player attempts to control a ball coming from such an angle.

No way is this a red card, however in normal speed, live the ref does not have the chance to work all of this out based of replays and slow motion so you cant blame him.
