an improved offer could mean they're giving him 3 sets of training gear as opposed to 2 for next year.

until it is public knowledge the coin/terms he is on, the coin/terms he's being offered, etc - we know sfa.

if how hsg handled brockie's re-negotiations is anything to go by, I daresay the offer put forward by the jets is an insult to Ritter.

I think he's great btw - how many other 23 year olds in the Hal are available & keen to sign for us that are as versatile, useful & good as him? would rather re-sign Ritter than let gve take another shit gamble tbh
    OK

Better the devil you know, than the devil you don't.

Ideal squad for next season would be:
    Biraz
    Brilllante, Chapz, Ritterz, Goodwunz
    Zadz, Caravella
    Top Winger, Bridges/Coopz, Top Winger
    Eskey
Dugandzic and Ramsay's contracts both expire at end of the season would be good on the wing. And if Taggart learns to play there he'd be pretty good aswell because of his pace

    Dead set kill yourselves hey.
Bloke is a turd of the highest order.

and the good Member has called for us to throw a handful of coin at some unknown foreigner who can carve up the A-League.

Lovely strategy Sir. You've got my vote at the next AGM.

Gordon Ramsay? Used to play for Rangers and is good at carving, apparently.

Would take both of them, but Dugandzic is coming off a serious injury (not unlike Brown) so I would be wary.

    +1

also he cant cross a ball to save his life. Just loves to do step overs 3 meters from a defender. Duganzic yes as long as his injury is all ok.

    Bridges re-signs with the Jets

The Hunter Ports Newcastle Jets have re-signed Michael Bridges to a one-year playing contract. Bridges' agreement includes involvement with the Emerging Jets program in the Jets off-season.

After arriving at the Jets midway through the 2009/10 season, Bridges quickly developed into a favourite amongst the Club’s Members and supporters.

"We are delighted Michael has re-signed with the Club for next season, and in addition, to have him involved with our Juniors is a major boost for our region," CEO Robbie Middleby said.

The former English Premier League striker has made 51 A-League appearances for Newcastle during his four seasons at the Club, scoring 10 goals.

“I’m delighted to be able to spend another season playing at the Jets,” Bridges said.

“My family and I are very happy in Newcastle and we love the lifestyle here, so it’s great to settle down and have my future sorted.”

The 34-year-old said he has never felt fitter and is confident he can continue to be a big contributor to the Jets both on and off the park.

“I’m my biggest critic and I’ve said since day one of pre-season that I’ve never felt this fit, never felt this strong,” Bridges said.

“Thankfully I got the chance to show that. I’m playing better football and looking leaner and fitter than I was when I arrived three years ago.

“Hopefully I can pass on some wisdom and some knowledge and help bring our younger players along.”

    Stay tuned for more!

Wonder if the gypos have a Jerks lols go in here thread. This season must be great for them.

    Sauce?

But I'm glad he's resigned, not just for next season, but his experience would definitely help the Emerging Jets program.
