The endless (and probably pointless) GK debate thread.

Glad this bloke has really shut up any of his knockers and the BK lovers out there in recent times.

Can someone explain to me why we persisted with AVERAGE NOBODY keepers for the last few years and we could have taken this bloke off Adelaide's hands where he couldn't get a look in over Eugene.

Pearler of a save from the ADP free kick in the first half that was rifling into the top corner at a rate of knots

Have to agree. Along with Goodwin, Birraz has been GVE's best 2 signings for this season. As long as he is fit, I don't see BK getting near the # 1 spot for a long, long time.

    Love Biraz

Say what you want against GvE, but he did sign this bloke. We haven't had a keeper like him since Ante's heroics against Aloisi.

Top keeper. If we can resign him for 5 years, I'll be very happy.

Can pull off a spectacular save or two.

Decision making and holding on to the ball could definitely do with some work, but he is young, it's his first proper season etc. I am a BK fan but on the whole Birighitti has been a good pick up for us. Even Mat Ryan had some absolute honkers in his first season but everyone seems to forget that.

Did anyone else catch it on Fox on the second half? A corner came in from the right, Birraz dives and gets a fist on it and one of the Sydney strikers (not Derpo Piero, no speaka with da accent) can be heard yelling out "ahhh you KHUNT". Was so good I had to rewind and watch it again lol

Makes the great ones look great, but still young.

Just don't ever ever ever make him captain.

biraz's good qualities absolutely smash bk's ones, and biraz's shit qualities are nowhere near as bad as bk's

Actually press at the time in Adelaide was that it was his managers initiative and he was offered to the Jets. For me there is a difference in talent identification and a player being offered to a manager.

I'll credit the coaching staff for the signing but not for identifying him as a potential target.
