Godvic No1
So Aloisi just asked Covic live if he was starting against Roar. Looked down and smirked without answering....
Hey man y'all had a thread dedicated to hard hitting sockah talk and scorching hot takes without the smartarsery from blokes like me and it's now on page 3 cause anyone serious about this shitty club is likely in the looney bin with no internet access.
Long live terrible threads.
Covic OUT.
Covic is past it, increasingly losing his agility, but he'll still be better from an organisational and positional perspective to JD.
Not the worst signing we could make, just the "safe" option, as opposed to trying an NPL talent.

NEWCASTLE Jets officials are debating the merits of youth versus experience as they search for a goalkeeper to replace injured Ben Kennedy.
Veteran Ante Covic is a free agent who has expressed interest in a second stint with the Jets, but coach Mark Jones told the Newcastle Herald on Wednesday that 18-year-old Tom Glover, a project player at English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur, was “well and truly in the frame’’.
Glover, an Australian under-19 representative, has been with Spurs since 2014 but his only game time has been in their under-18s and under-21s.
“He’d hopefully be a long-term thing, whereas Ante, at his age, is obviously not going to be a 10-year project,’’ Jones said.
This kids got a good name for a keeper. Sign him up.
Are we sure Glover isn't second string material? What has he done to prove he's a first string keeper? God only knows our under 19s aren't producing the goods, being selected at that level isn't a recommendation...
Life isn't the same without Con... but it can only improve without Tinks...
that is an asteroid....

Covic all the way. We need the most experienced option we can find at such short notice, especially with young players like Jackson, Cowburn and Vujica playing regularly. The 'long-term' notion is rubbish. If the kid is any good he'll be gone within a season or two anyway.
