The Hunter Ports Newcastle Jets have granted permission for current Hyundai A-League contracted player Mark Birighitti to travel to Germany and meet with Bundesliga Club Bayer Leverkusen.

Birighitti flew to Germany on Sunday to talk to key representatives of the Club.

The 22-year-old goalkeeper will return to Australia on Saturday, linking up with his Jets teammates in Perth for their Round 25 Hyundai A-League fixture against Perth Glory at nib Stadium.

Ok let's get down to it.
Someone make a poll if it's easier but let's have a guessing comp as to how much we'll get as a transfer fee for Birazz.

    I'll go first:
    'Undisclosed fee'.

Hopefully Middleby can actually negotiate a decent deal out of this. Besides the financial aspects of a transfer fee (HELLO PLAGUE) would be good if any signing was contingent on a loan deal back here for another 12 months. Bloke would probably benefit more from playing in the HAL than training for the Reserves in Germany.

Birraz has a buy out clause set at $400k, same for taggs. The only player who is being linked to a move without a transfer ceiling is beard.

So the MAX is $400k and the MIN is $0.
Will be interesting where the number ends up.

Provided they even make an offer.

From my understanding it's not a buy out clause the Club can reject a 400k bid, what my understanding of it was its a transfer celling we're the club can not negotiate a transfer greater than 400k

^ Seems a bit backward though, doesn't it?
I mean it wouldn't help the player because the club could just reject it, and it wouldn't help the club because then they've restricted themselves to a set transfer amount.

Who made up this clause, Middleby?

If I remember right the Gypos done the same when they sold Amini to Dortmund

Got the money and Amini done a bit of pre season work at Dortmund before returning to play for the Gypos on loan in the HAL for another year before making the move to germany permanently

Good on the club for having any clause in there to be honest.
