The Hunter Ports Newcastle Jets have granted permission for current Hyundai A-League contracted player Mark Birighitti to travel to Germany and meet with Bundesliga Club Bayer Leverkusen.
Birighitti flew to Germany on Sunday to talk to key representatives of the Club.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper will return to Australia on Saturday, linking up with his Jets teammates in Perth for their Round 25 Hyundai A-League fixture against Perth Glory at nib Stadium.
Mods, can you please change thread title to Birraz Bayer Leverkusen's UNDISPUTED No 3 or 4
Ok let's get down to it.
Someone make a poll if it's easier but let's have a guessing comp as to how much we'll get as a transfer fee for Birazz.
I'll go first:
'Undisclosed fee'.
Hopefully Middleby can actually negotiate a decent deal out of this. Besides the financial aspects of a transfer fee (HELLO PLAGUE) would be good if any signing was contingent on a loan deal back here for another 12 months. Bloke would probably benefit more from playing in the HAL than training for the Reserves in Germany.
^ Seems a bit backward though, doesn't it?
I mean it wouldn't help the player because the club could just reject it, and it wouldn't help the club because then they've restricted themselves to a set transfer amount.
Who made up this clause, Middleby?
Good on the club for having any clause in there to be honest.
