A leak indicating we have a home blockbuster reward first up....v Wello.

Melbourne Derby in Saturday night....no GF replay.

Lets see how accurate it is.

I thought Jets v Victory 1st up was nailed on. I’m generally not a fan of scheduling derbies for the first round. Let the players & fans warm up to it for a few weeks.

And Fabio now qualifies as non foreign doesn't he? That's why smurfs brought him in because he was Australian for their ACL campaign.
Glory CEO confirmed he is a foreigner on Twatter

So when the Smurfs brought him in for their ACL campaign, they only brought him in to give players IN the ACL squad a rest in the domestic stuff? Jeebus, what a waste of a spot.

Tbh, Ono had a huge impact in his years at WSW: didn't they win the ACL when he was there?
But the key point is, he was part of a solid team, as opposed to ADP or Heskey who ended up in embarrassing teams.
I agree it doesn't make much sense from a "league" point of view to chase players like Torres (or Crouch, I thought he was retired...) when they are unable to retain players like Adrian, who added a lot of quality to the league last season. Why didn't they invest part of the $4m "marquee fund" on Adrian?

Apparently the draw is released today.

Rumours I've seen have us v Wellington at home Round 1

FFA called a media conference at midday, so maybe it's the draw being released...

    Great fanfare that.

    Yet multiple home days rock!

I think it's a reasonable draw. Evening games through the hotter summer months. Two arvo games (both away) between end of December and end of Feb.

2 games in Melbourne in 6 days.

    Coast away just before Christmas

Perth games away are all reasonable times for travel

We don't leave the state in February.

Why is round 11 played after round 12? Is that a typo?

Leroy George leaving victory... and providing an interesting insight on life in the a-league in this interview. Something to think about when it comes to sport culture

    He's still trash, of course...

round 15 starts before round 14 too. they're basically split midweek rounds (with another round in the middle of the split round).
