Not sure I've ever seen a game get called off at Cessnock. Lovely ground that is definately able to host NPL semis IMO. Northern would be crazy not to sound them out about using the facilities if other grounds are called off.
    OK

Elimination semis 4v5 are now on Sunday due to rain (Lisle Carr). Alternate venue is Lydon Oval Dudley.
    Thoughts??

Says a lot that a club not in the top 2 levels of Newy football has a ground that can not host the game yet a club in Zone can

Next year they will have the best facilities available and NNSWF should be in a position to be able to host semi/grand finals no matter what the conditions.

These facilities should be able to be accessed by all clubs.

Agree the Jets Yoof should be looking for a home ground.

Feel getting a permanent training base though is more pressing.

As for the rest of them 130 years of football in the area and we don't have a ground capable of dealing with a few days of rain

There are only a couple of grounds - but agree there are many grounds which are a joke.

I'm currently working on the new NNSWF headquarters, these facilities will not be set up for competition games, 2 x full fields exclusive use for jets, Ejets and Macquarie academy, 10 x 5 aside courts for competition, this is the revenue raiser

So you can confirm the Jets are gonna move HQ from Ray Watt to there??

I was under the impression there was no grass pitches at this facility but only synthetic FR is that right??

So basically the government and NNSW are building a training facility for the Jets??

Despite no official mention of the Jets going there and it being a community facility etc

Forza Tinkler for pulling that off

Agree with this, nnsw/ jets facility. The rest of us mug punters will pay for it on the small sided courts.

According to Herald report Weston have trained on their pitch all week so looks a big show to be smooth sailing at Weston

The game at Lisle Carr hasn't been moved to Dudley just yet. Apparently this is the contingency and a pitch inspection will be done today before a decision is made on moving it

Consider it a win for Pro football in this country.

Somehow the taxpayers are funding a training facility for a professional sporting team and it ain't Rugby League or AFL for a change
