Personally I would like to see carney in LB and Steele in LM, Goodwin just seems to continue going backwards. Hopefully big Phil can correct that and he can push on with a renewed confidence, but I’m not going to be holding my breath, new 2 year contract looking like a bad move from the club.

remember saying it last year, 2 year contract to a player who hadn't fully proven himself was a silly idea. a 1 year deal would have been better as it would have forced goodwin to work his ass off.

the risk of missing out on a transfer fee was a risk we should have been willing to take imo.

The problem with Goodwin is we didn't bench him early enough. He never should have played another game after the Sydney FC 3-2 away win.
    OK

Poor guy. He destroyed Sydney that day then gets dumped and has never been remotely close to the player he was that game.

Goodwin's best games are always where he can isolate rookie/rubbish fullbacks. As soon as he is up against a defender of any quality he is invisible.
