4 songs.. Its bloody amazing.. Heaps more like the Crack The Skye style..

It's brilliant. And it's something that will get better the more times you listen to it as it's got a hell of a lot going on under the surface - unlike the usual shit making the mega dollars today.

Did anyone catch Billy Gibbons at the Civic ? Apparently he was completely aids and cancelled the rest of the tour because of all the complaints from fans. Was on stage for like 42mins and failed to do a meet and greet with fans that payed for the privilege.

No - though I have read much about it. Sounds like he signed for something that didn't suit him and he came here sulking.

The Q&A/storytelling shows only suit some and others are seeing a quid in it but not up for it. The Barnes show last year was brilliant as Jimmy could actually tell a story.

You don't have to pretend to like the music Stanny .

It's a derivative band with a cute looking female vocalist. We can put in a good word for you if ya like.

I have listened to it. It's not for old timers like me I guess Stanny. Which has got to be a good thing.

That would have been ZZ top at their best as well. Very cool.

He's still one of the greatest guitar players in the world - just not the social butterfly promoters wanted.

He's better with the old band or as guest artist with his friends like when he played with John Fogarty.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning for the Mastodon and Gojira sideshow of Download..
    Sydney, Luna Park, 26th March.
    Grim, you in??

We've whacked off plenty about Mastodon, but can't say enough how good Gojira are..
Best thing to come out of France since hot chicks or mustard.. Big on the environment too..

Godzilla with a new bass player.

Joe Duplantier I discovered recently because I'm looking at getting another Charvel and he has a signature model. I'll put a tick next to "does technical death metal".
All he's using to get his sound is a cranked EVH with a 4x12, a delay, and a noise suppressor. Holy Shit - it sounds huge - but familiar as well.

Crazier still he's using green turtle picks like me as well - I thought he'd be using a house brick to get that sound ffs.
