    $10 schooners! ffs.

Pfft - Cambridge the 80's - 10 (yes 10!) nips of spirits with a bit of soft drink in a schooner for $10 - various recipes on the blackboard each week.

Basically a night out in a glass.

Remember Funbusters on Thursday nights - Chicks were flashing tits just to get a free bottle of Chateau De Catspiss. Great days.

Thoughts on Protest the Hero? I gave them a bit of a listen as the dudes from Propaghandi go on about them (and propaghandi are legends), but it just didn't quite get there for me.
Propagandhi apparently recording soon. What a band

You are forgetting Tuesday Night at the Palais after 11pm. Before 11pm they had male strippers on for the girls. The chicks were dripping for Cawk by the time the show was over. So you basically waited out the front

wearing speedos with your hands above your head and waited for some action.

Great band - people used to be sprawling onto the street when they were on - always great fun.

I'm so glad you said Family Hotel and not Ducks Nuts / Silk.

I've been told the Gunfighters has been regenerated - is this the case?

I don't really have much to do with podcasts, but this sounds like it could be worth checking out..

Ahhh mate, did you expect anything else?

I've been digging a lot of the old 80's metal of late.. Mercyful Fate's album Don't Break The Oath is just ridiculous for its time (1984!!!)..

I was watching the OA and this random headbanger song came on, had to find out who it was..
Turns out it was Sanctuary, a band from Seattle.. Apparently there was quite a big power/thrash metal scene going on there before grunge/alternative stuff took a hold in the early 90s..
This album was produced by Dave Mustaine (of Megadeth and Metallica fame).. Once again, some of the vocals aren't for everyone, but the riffs are just amazing..

Other than that, recently my car has been getting a bashing from:
    Everything by Mastodon.
    Deftones - Around The Fur
Machine Head - Burn My Eyes
    Portishead - Self Titled
    Tool - Undertow

That's excellent, am definitely pumped for this release.

I've stuck in a bit of random "whatever Spotify recommends" stuff lately... Leprous? Beyond Twilight? Beyond the Bridge? Good stuff.

I've heard of Leprous (but never listened to them) but not the other two..

Yeah i did because even though they always change style, It was interesting and sounded fresh. This just sounds boring and uninspired
