Was good. Bunch of folk showed up, had maybe another 15 random locals playing during the day as well. Raised over $500 for charity.

Yeah, The Sizzler is on this weekend which is the ACT Open happening each Feb. Lower turnout this year with the Aus Champs there only a few months ago.

It looks very difficult and I'd imagine your throwing arm would be feeling it the next day.

It looks more difficult because that day was some of the windiest weather any of us had ever played in. It's still difficult to be consistent in normal weather but not as hard as this viewing.

And arm wise, I only get a bit of pain if I am throwing a sidearm frequently and that's more to do with terrible technique.

Now that the Jets are dead, I do hope that this forum can be turned into a place for us to talk about all things Newcastle disc golf related.

Like the Aussie Disc Golf Day.

It's even got a catchy tune to go with it.

I honestly can't see any negatives to this.

Haven't updated since then but I know everyone is chomping at the bit for info... but we're 30 short of 600 players now.

That was pretty neat. Watching it on live coverage on the weekend was also pretty epic. So good.
