Exactly. They'll harp on about the percentage of area population etc, but realistically their crowds have dropped from a few years ago and they are (up until this season) much better in terms of results than they were back then.

FFA have pumped the "family friendly" approach to aleague games, massive numbers of kids with parents at the games...... Midweek doesn't really fit in with families going to games.
Crowd numbers probably reflect numbers of a-league crowds that are not attached to family responsibilities on a Tuesday or Wednesday night.

AAMI is near football heaven (after the Central Coast CoE, sup MFKFC) and I would hate being required to go to Etihad for big/important games - you can't see anything as you're so far away from the stadium, whilst the terraces do a good job it's a lot more lifeless than AAMI, and I don't think it has cider on tap
