further to Dunsters point, and without assuming anything about Froome specifically, would anyone actually 'care' if they were cheating?

i mean, watching Armstrong in his pomp was pretty awesome, and it only came out after he was finished that he got done but he was cheating to keep up with the pack, because 'everyone' was cheating.

i just assume the best riders have some sort of advantage over the rest. whether its bike tech, training programs or steroids, i dont really care.

Probably a bit (ok, a lot) controversially I've often thought that they should be allowed to dope.

Let em go for it, they know the risks..

Thats the thing, it really is still a level(ish) playing field because they are all on the juice. Just some teams, Like Armstrongs, did it better. Armstrong or Froome would still dominate in a clean field.

Would still go back and watch how Armstrong rides.. Was soo good to watch... awesome tactics at times.... (even with ¨doping¨you still have to ride the bloody thing)...

    Anyone watch Icarus on Netflix?

and i think youre in the majority of sports fans for sure.

my own sensibilities tend to disregard anything outside the 'entertainment factor' someone is giving me.

the hollywood stuff is a good example at the moment, The Usual Suspects will still be one of my all time fav movies and ill watch whenever it is on regardless of how the Kevin Spacey stuff comes out. Ive never understood how people want to boycott stuff after the fact based on information they were never entitled to know anyway.

to me, sports stars are entertainers. i get the whole 'moral code' etc etc but i dont know 99.9% or stuff about 99.9% of them*.
drug takers, wife bashers, confederate flag worshippers, i dont care, just entertain me.

*and also, glass houses, stones etc etc etc

Yes. It was a bit of an eye opener for me. I didn't realise just how intense the eastern block programs were, or about the performance gains achievable and in some cases not achievable. The tampering with the sample containers though was what really shocked me. Pretty much means every drug test using those containers is worth the piss in them and not a cent more.

late reply but it's not a secret that Wiggins took drugs for allergies / asthma type condition. But also no denying he is one of the greatest track riders of all time and that he beat a host of great riders many of who would have been doping.

Is Wiggins a cheat ? Absolutely not. He's a great track rider who did what he needed to do to win.

Quickstep have the best chances for mine in Terpstra & Stybar

Sagan probably the strongest but will be marked out of the race

would love to see der panzerwagen go hard at it, will be a monstrous performance regardless

My pick is Terpstra, having a stab at Tony Martin at odds

Isnt it just time they removed the facade and just let them all loose on the juice officially

That way we dont have to have this debate and can appreciate these lunatics riding bikes up mountains without any conjecture about whether they cheating.

    FFS they all cheating
