This protest you are talking about interests me.

Who are the issues we rally against??

    Tinks Palmer Stubbins FFA ??

    Would be my list

Whats everyones thoughts about doing it at the Asian Cup Semi??

Feel that this would be a great time as the attention will be on the town and the message of anarchy can get out to the wider public and the FFA will be paying attention as to what is going on??

Enough is enough of this BS, 10K members deserve better than the pile of shite we are getting dished up from this club.

Do not do it during Asian Cup. That's a worse idea than spending every single night at the Harp.
    OK

What is a "plastic fan"? How do you determine this? Please enlighten me?

You go and sit there and watch as the owner and the coach turn us into a laughing stock, you can go and watch as our players leave because they can see how badly the place is getting run. Do you think by coming on this forum and complaining something will change? Do you think by writinig into the herald or any other paper things will change? How is it you think things will change?

Each and every day the Jets are getting dragged further and further into the mud. As a "fan" I would think you would be open to do anything to show your dissatisfaction with what is happening....guess that's just plastic though.

Plastic is turning your back on the club when times get tough. Justify it as a protest if you want but all you are doing is deserting the club when it needs your support.
So I'll stick with calling you plastic.

Happy for you to check Plague but I believe that makes 18c I owe the honorable member.

I was thinking more along the lines of turning up to the front gate at a future home game but instead of going in we rally outside or sonething similar. Would have to be organised so that all fans knew and could decide if they wanted to participate.

Or we could just boycott the game all together and just leave those fans content to let this continue show up.

P.s I must state, as I have earlier, that if circumstances change (good CEO appointment, player signings/ retention, tinks showing seriously positive intent) I will be at next home game content.
    In other words, I'm torn

Second the call to avoid any local protest on the international stage. We are damn lucky to have matches on our doorstep of this ilk. Not the time or place to protest completely separate issues

Don't worry mate the Member has it all journaled onto a spreadsheet.

Mat Ryan sell-on clause could earn Mariners $$$$

So Mat Ryan is being monitored by Liverpool and they might try to get him. He just signed a 4 year contract with Club Brugge.

He is now valued at 3.5 million Euros.

    https://www.eyefootball.com/news/218...thew-Ryan.html

Central Coast Mariners were smart enough to insist on a sell-on clause in his contract when they sold him to Club Brugge. It is worth 20% of his next contract!

    http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-05-3...brugge/4725604

    That could net The Mariners €700,000 = AUD$1,000,000 !!!!

Fair enough...blindly supporting an owner who cares neither for your opinion nor your support is just stupid...

If you think supporting the "club" is going by whatever they say or do then when they dissapear because of the idiots in charge you'll enjoy your memories.

I wonder if you would strike if your employer wanted to change your work conditions or pay?

I agree with this. It's a local issue and let's not taint what is a privilege to the city.

I honestly think the FFA see us a value-adding participant in the A-League. We have demonstrated time and time again that we have the potential for a captive audience. What we have against us is the business support and sponsorship. Solid administration can sort this out and we need the FFA to step in.

If the rumours are true, we are in for a tough time if they come off, especially if they aren't replaced. But let's look at each case on it's merits.

Flores and Stubbins do not get on, I think that's clear, which is disappointing because we have a genuine playmaker in the team which we've been crying out for since the days of Carle and Vigs and he simply can't get a game.

Birraz hasn't been the same since his head was turned. He came here looking for a go at first team football. We gave it to him and he got the interest and since then it's been down hill. He hasn't responded, by all reports, how you'd want a player too after being dropped. He's gone into a stink instead on knuckling down like, for example James Virgili.

Hoole, Carney and Neville are probably the most saleable assets the club has left so it's no surprise other clubs are looking to take advantage of our tumoil and take our better players. I think the likes of Cooper will be next.

I'm fearful we will get to the stage of GCU and send out a youth team to field a side. It's heading towards a farce and I still don't think we've hit rock bottom yet. We are the least attractive club in the league so I struggle to see how we'll replace anyone that does leave.

I will continue to support the team because the club is bigger than any one player but I'm having a really decent think about what I do with membership next year. A lot will hinge on the off-field shenanigans and I won't be in the same boat again.

    Pfffft.
    Typical plastic poster.
Gives up when the going gets tedious.

Firstly boycotting the Jets games is not the go with any protest.
Straight away take it off the agenda. As Premy rightfully says support the club through thick and thin and our club needs us more than ever even if thiose running it are trying to destroy it we must stick solid and support the club.

Secondly the reason why the Asian Cup would not be a bad idea is that assuming the dumb ****s get the crowd right!!! We will have 20k there. The other night I noticed and spoke to quite a few who turned up to this game but had stopped going to the Jets whether frqueent or infrequent attendees. Reality is throw out the foreigners and those coming from out of the region the vast majority of those at the game on Monday night are JETS SUPPORTERS

These are those Plastic Fans (Trademark Pending) that are referred to when everyone talks about Newy getting great crowds when they win games.

Add in the FFA and Media coverage and to me it is a much better place to start than a Jets game in 4 weeks time when lets face it the crowd will be much lower. Add in the back lash from our last home game conceding 5 V Heart and the impending clear out I would not predict many there next home game anyway.

Reality is this shit should actually be on going anyway until we get the change we need.

20k singing We want Tinkler Out has a more cutting impact than the 7k who will sing it at a Jets game
