I've read someone suggest that we all turn up in colours other than red, blue or gold. Thoughts? Still there supporting the players, etc but getting a message across I suppose.

Or is that too plastic? Thoughts from the 'I'm a better fan than you' brigade?

Just like redwah you wish to put words in my mouth.
Please show me where I claim I'm a better fan?
All I'm doing is what I believe is rightfully criticizing people who suggest we boycott the club. All I'm guilty of is depicting a boycott as deserting the club, I'm also going to stick by that depiction as that's what I see a boycott as and I still believe that's the way it was implied.

Your opinion is your opinion! Good for you, I think 3 forum users seem to be of the opinion to just do nothing. You implied your a better fan the minute u started calling it deserting the club. Blind Freddie can see that.
If your not happy with the owner/mgmt what do you suggest we do?

maybe the question should be : how do we still support the club but somehow find a way to show we are not happy with the way things are going and show it in a way where it will be noticed ?

Soooo I'm putting words into your mouth and I'm the bad guy but you have just said that I implied that I'm abandoning the club because I suggest a boycott of a game to show our dissatisfaction with how the club is run.....I can clearly see how that is fair.

Please don't assume to know my mind when I suggest a boycott because I am not deserting the club. I am mearly suggesting that the owner, the management, the manager and maybe even the FFA will listen if the team is asked to play in front of an empty stadium. The player that give their all don't really deserve it but what else is there? Banners...security will be on them before they get on tv. They can't remove spectators when there aren't any.

Fact is, while we continue to get decent crowds to the games, the FFA won't step in. Why would they? The crowd is strong and they can continue behind the scene. Crowds stop coming and it's a much more visible thing to try to force the FFA's hand.

And don't mind premy, after Middleby went he needs someone to direct his dislike for me to.

Because they are trying to sell a product, to tv, fans and sponsors.

If they have an uncompetitive competition, they will lose all of them.

    You do that then.

You support a club through good times and the bad. Just cause the owner or the manager do things you don't like or agree with you never desert the club. We get rid of Tinks we gt rid of Stubbins and the good times return I assume you would return to???

That makes you a plastic fan. The quintessential bandwagon jumper. Don't like it too bad that is the reality of the situation.

Just because others refuse to quit on the club does not mean we support the regime. We just believe in the bit about supporting the club to the end etc is not a cliché. Now is the time to dig in and stand strong and not let these ****s break us.

You want out then go. Deal with the criticism that comes your way then.

Just do one you muppet. You are nothing but critical of everything about the club except Joel Griffiths. I honestly have never seen a positive post from you and I'm the plastic supporter. PLEASE!

Who's talking about being broken? Maybe if we all stood together and had a singular protest then someone would listen.

I can take the criticism, what I don't like is people making assumption that I'm abandoning the club, or a "plastic" supporter because I don't like the way the people entrusted with the running of the club and think drastic action should be made to show my feelings. But hey, you know all.

What part did you not understand of me admitting guilt for making an assumption. I'll reiterat I still believe my assumption is correct.

As to what I believe is an appropriate protest would be things like tifos/banners, staying silent for a certain period to send a message, verbally as in chants ect, organized gatherings like the last time when tinks tried to hand back the club and signed petitions.

If that's the implication you got from my comment maybe that's something you need to ask yourself why you felt that was the implication.
All I did was give criticism to someone on their suggested actions if you feel by me stating that, that I was implying I'm a better fan then that is your prerogative.

For the record the Member refuses to say a bad word about Alex Wilkinson also.
