THE payment of salaries to Newcastle Jets players and staff has been delayed for a second straight month.
I wonder if the delay was because the 15th was a Sunday and that it went in overnight and this is the Herald looking for a story which is simply convenient. However I get paid monthly on the 15th and mine went in Friday night. Anyone else who gets paid monthly care to contribute?

That's what's in the article, pretty much. Last month the excuse was "15th was Sunday" and given that Feb is 28 days, 15th was always going to be a Sunday this month as well.

Yeah, it's a pretty ****ed set up if the 15th falls on a weekend or public holiday and you don't get paid till after that date.
They are proper ****ed come April 2017 when 15th is Easter Saturday.
