It sounds like a great idea, if they're good.

I don't know too much about Burgess but I suspect there's a reason Arnie didn't hold onto him.
    OK

    Pffffft.
Once the bloke learns English he'll be able to tell Stubbins to **** off then he'll be pulling double duty with Carney picking up papers in the playground.

    Disgraceful decision by the club.

    Middleby out.

Difference is that Taggart and the beard were both hot prospects that everyone had heard of. He's played for us already and I've still never heard of Max Burgess.

Stubbins said this in the members email about re-signing Lee:

“He’s adapted rapidly – culturally and from a footballing perspective – and that’s something he deserves to be commended on. The longer Lee Ki-je is with us, the better footballer I believe fans will see.”
Which is something I agree with, massively. I think I said it after his first game for us on the Jerkstream - how quickly he adapted to the league was outstanding.
    OK

    Pffft.

Long term contract security, will be absolutely shit now until Jan 2017.

A player with superior technical skills should adapt easily to this league.
As long as they can handle the physical side of the game they will shine

Pretty common theme all around the world where you see blokes like Verona Di Maria Cacao etc struggle in the EPL not because they don''t have the skills but more due to their inability to deal with the physicality like Suarez Aguero etc do

What do you guys think about us targeting Georgievski from Victory as RB?

Looks like he'll get squeezed out of Victory and I think he'd be a great signing!! Am thinking Neville would want out of his contract.

A back 4 of georgievski/mullen/boogs/lee would be very sring imo

Fairly sure SFC and WSW have both signalled their intent to go for Georgevski. Can't imagine he'd be keen to venture this far north to us, particularly because I'm led to believe he's from Sydney and both Sydney clubs may want him. If he stays in the league, I'll be surprised if it isn't for a Melbourne or Sydney team.

I'm hoping Neville stays with us forever, I love him.

I'm also enjoying what Cowburn is bringing to the side, and feel like he'll only get better. He had enough confidence on the weekend to take our attacking freekick, and it wasn't too bad an effort either. He'll go from strength to strength IMO.
    OK

I used to think sending foreigners to Villawood detention centre was a disgrace but forcing them to play two seasons with the Jets surely breaks every international law on Human Rights.

Yeah keep Neville, cowburn back up. No need to tinker there.

Striker, no10 and the centre mid possies are where we need to focus

Without attempting to spark a war, we need a quality keeper too (this is assuming Biraz doesn't return from his loan).
    OK

Anyone know what's the story with travis cooper? I know he didn't impress during the last few youth league games but he would of been lacking fitness. Simply not good enough or injured?
