Maybe the FFA Should be looking into this.

If they are giving them 2.55 million a year and we ain't paying our limit where is the money going???

I am pretty certain they will not be impressed if money is not going into paying players or at failing that into the cost of football club operations.

Few questions there that need answering

Yeah whilst the garnishee order is in effect

But if the FFA is giving them 2.55 million and we are only spending say 2.3million on players where is the other money going?? Just remember the Garnishee order hasn't been in effect for the rest of the season bar 2 months

I can't imagine FFA would be happy $250000 is going walkabout and not to its intended cause

with the amount of debts the club has, i daresay its intended cause is plugging those gaps.

whether the FFA thinks that iss how it should be spent is another question.

I've said it a few times but I'm led to believe if we don't use the whole cap, we don't receive the leftover money from the FFA. They just pay us whatever we used.

AFAIK apart from room to re-negotiate with players to improved contracts and the like, there's no disadvantage to using the full cap - but no advantage to not using it.

Not so much the FFA but the PFA
I would imagine they would not be happy if the deal negotiated in relation to money for the players is being skimmed off the top

Whatever the Jets don't spend is probably given to Sydney FC to fund their marquee wages.

On a serious note, most clubs get financial aid from the FFA for their marquees.

The wooden spoon would then just be another thing Phil couldn't win.

They wont deduct that many points, there will be an outcry if they get deducted a massive amount of competition points when SFC only had a 3 point deduction back in 06

I'll be surprised if they don't deduct at least 30 points. My bet is 30, 40, or all.

Even with 10, which is quite a bit, they'll still be in 5th.

It's David Gallop at the FFA nowadays. He loves a season-ruining points scrape.

30 or 40 points are nice round numbers, which will put them at-best equal last with us.

David Gallop will show little mercy.....

In mid-2002, the Bulldogs were found guilty of serious and systemic breaches of the salary cap. NRL Chief Executive David Gallop described the violation as "exceptional in both its size and its deliberate and ongoing nature". The club received the maximum fine of $500,000, and was stripped of all 37 competition points.[2] The latter action was particularly harmful, as the club were poised to take the Minor Premiership and had won 17 consecutive matches (the second highest in Australian club rugby league history at the time); the penalty meant that the club would win the wooden spoon. Fans of the club had gone from the joy of a last-minute win over Newcastle just two weeks prior to the pain, anguish and realisation that the club would not be participating in the 2002 finals.
    Could be interesting.

He was apparently cold to the Storm aswell, and even accidentally referred to their supporters as terrorists. I think he got boo'd when he went to Melbourne for the Liverpool game too, from extremely faint memory. They hate him down there.

He's very cut and dry, seemingly. Gus Gould tried to have a wankfest about the Storm and Gallop didn't buy it at all:
