The message was directed to Stubbins Tinkler Murphy.

They got it loud and clear.

It got Tinkler out from under his rock
Murphy was on David Collins hosing out fires
I have heard Muppet was also not impressed

It has also got the subject to the focus of peoples attention. Many feel disenchanted but are tolerating it all. This brought the subject to the attention again a subject I feel deserves to be broached.

I am and was fully aware it would most likely make squat difference and never expected Tinkler to announce the next day Stubbins is gone. I have though brought the subject into his mind and him and Str8 Shooter Murphy will be more than aware the Muppet had better deliver soon and even the muppet will be aware his time is limited if results don't improve.

You never know it may actually see Tinkler actually put some effort in and go to town on this rebuild he spruiks
Maybe the kick in the arse will actually have a positive effect so this time next year we are looking down on other clubs and looking forward to the finals for a change

As for Cockerill why would I want to talk to an irrelevant nobody who has no idea what he is talking about on this subject yet gets a weekly column to garble his opinion then has the audacity to criticise anyone else offering their opinion???
Lefty Apologist trying to silence people by using his opinion to ridicule what he doesn't like or agree with.

I don't agree with his opinion he is more than welcome to have it though.

Because it might be good to be on the other end of that conversation for once?

The old saying "Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me" comes to mind when I read Cockerill's dribble.

    Did anyone light flares?....No

    Were bottles thrown?....No

Was Muppet or anyone threatened with violence?....No

If supporters are criticised for voicing their displeasure over a sign.....the displeasure brought about by the fact this is the clubs worst season ever and yet the coach is still given reassurances he has a job while so many others have been sacked or released from their contracts.......then we might as well not stand up for what is right anymore and just take it up the arse!!!!

TINKLER CONFIDENT OF STUBBINS LEADING JETS REVIVAL

Newcastle Jets owner Nathan Tinkler has re-affirmed his backing for coach Phil Stubbins, insisting the heavily-criticised Englishman can lead the club to a renaissance next season.
    By David Lewis
    13 APR 2015 - 7:25 PM UPDATED 40 MINS AGO

    0
Buoyed by signs of life from the stricken Jets in the dying embers of this campaign - culminating in Friday's stunning 1-0 upset win over ladder leader Melbourne Victory at AAMI Park - Tinkler said it's time for Stubbins' army of detractors to cut him some slack.

Vilified for presiding over just three wins in 25 games in a season which has seen mass sackings of players and the exits of coaching staff, Stubbins, according to Tinkler, will prove the doubters wrong.

"I have no reservations in supporting him. He has done everything he said he would do in the face of some fierce criticism," he declared.

"I think there are 25 million soccer coaches in Australia at the moment, everybody has an opinion and many would do things differently while there are some there that would support him.

"I beleive he can do a job for us … he has made some brave decisions to try and take us forward.

"We had an established losing culture at the club and it didn't matter who we were going to bring to it, it wasn't going to change.

"He needed to take action and I understood the reasons for that.

"I am sure it will pay dividends in time. Unfortunately, it's too late this season but we have plenty to look forward to next year."

Fed up fans vented their anger during the Jets' 2-0 loss to Perth at Hunter Stadium in Round 24, unveiling a giant banner which read: 'Enough failure, lies and arrogance. 10,000 fans demand the Muppet gone'.

Tinkler was unimpressed by the caustic reference to his coach, adding: "He's a real man, a good guy and a good character.

"I'm looking forward to coming to our final home game of season against Syney FC on Friday night, having a beer with Phil and laughing about some of these banners.

"Anybody content to keep getting beat I wouldn't call a supporter. The people who are whingeing and blogging their hearts out, carrying on and holding up banners and stuff, I wouldn't say they were true supporters.

"You don’t change culture at a club without some major decisions and it takes a bit of real commitment to do that. Phil's put himself on the line, made those calls and it may just pay off for him.

"The previous two weeks we were unlucky to get beat (against Adelaide and Glory) … and I was very happy for the win against Victory.

"But I can't say it was a shock given how we have been playing. We have turned around season a bit and that's a credit to coaching staff and the players too ... a lot of those guys have been unfairly portrayed.

Tinkler contends that Stubbins has found the right template for the future.

"Next year the enthusiasm and will to win won't be going away," he said.

"Phil wants to play an entertaining game. We had to stop conceding so many goals and become hard to beat first and foremost and now you seeing another feather to his bow in an attacking sense.

"Bloggers can complain all they want but a team doesn't change overnight … it takes time and we are building now to be a real threat for the start of next year.

"In Newcastle he has been treated pretty harshly by the media … outside of Newcastle people seem to be picking up on some of the positive changes that have been made at the club."

With his own position as club owner being closely monitored by FFA over the scheduling of payments to club creditors, Tinkler said: "With the FFA we have taken care of some big issues and now we are taking care of some of the smaller ones. This is not the EPL, we don't have those types of finances but we are working through our issues.

"I am hoping to be in a position to look at marquees and really shake up the squad for next year."

Tinkler would like to attract an Emile Heskey-type figure up front, fondling recalling the veteran Englishman's spell on the Hunter.

"We'd love to have some body of Emile's stature again. He was great for us … he didn't just do well on the paddock but he improved those around him and it was a pleasure to have around the club. Someone like that would be ideal for us."

    Really?
Let's give the fat controller something to laugh about.
This really shows how much respect he has for us.

Judging by all the above from Tinkler's article.. I would say that Tinkler is saying Phil Stubbins made all the decisions about axing coaches and players. Which for the most part is totally the opposite of what Stubbins and Murphy have painted the picture of so far (Murphy less, tbf). Also it further proves how spineless Stubbins is, when you think back to Clayton Zane's reaction to his sacking and how he hadn't heard a single word from Stubbins. Just because I'm in a Game of Thrones mood, Ed Stark reckons if you are sentencing a man to death, you've got to swing the sword yourself. Pretty much the opposite of what Stubbins has done in this situation, and only furthers my dislike and allows me to judge his character further.

"Anybody content to keep getting beat I wouldn't call a supporter. The people who are whingeing and blogging their hearts out, carrying on and holding up banners and stuff, I wouldn't say they were true supporters.
I wholeheartedly agree - anybody content to keep getting beat I wouldn't call a supporter. Like those 6k members that don't show up to games. Like that 4100 fans that didn't execute a tifo, highlighting their discontent with the current regime (ie everyone but the one guy who painted it, and 20 guys that held it up).

"In Newcastle he has been treated pretty harshly by the media … outside of Newcastle people seem to be picking up on some of the positive changes that have been made at the club."
Interesting that the people who follow the club more closely than others are still able to see the huge issues with the club.

Go back a few Jetstream pods, I said Tinkler would say exactly this.
    OK

Forgetting all the nuts and bolts of what has gone down, this is the one sentence I entirely agreed with - you could bring in the whole Chelsea squad here and they would turn to shit overnight.

Now why that is the case is the hard question - and what is the long term solution?

What exactly was the losing culture like before if it has turned into this season? The culture he has planted the seeds for now is about showing up, getting your paycheck, not making waves and being a good little yes man.

    **** stubbins and **** Tinkler.
