Signing Jimmy would go long way to winning back some supporters IMO. If Tinks was to get it done I would be slightly less inclined to call him a prick when I see him.

If you're reading this big man there's a Aussie born Uruguayan knocking around in the Uruguayan leagues that goes by the name of Richard Porta, go get him to, he shouldn't cost you much either.

For a sensible club that would make a lot of sense.

For us though wasting marquee money on Ibini would probably be a good decision all things considered when compared to our usual ability at signing shit players.

Spent a season or even half a season at al wasl I think. I believe maradonna was the manager and porta was signed as their +1 Asian foriengner.
That was 2 or 3 seasons ago though

Hasn't scored consistently at a top tier club since 2012. Saying that he'd probably be a great addition for us

Sorry for not understanding how our marquee system works, but are you allowed 2 australian marquees or does one have to be international and the other australian?

One is the Australian Marquee - used only for Australian players.
The other is the Marquee - used for any nationality (inc Australian)
    OK

    Porta doesn't speak English iirc.

I watched one game of his a year or two ago and didn't see anything great.

Playing for CA Rentistas in the Uruguayan Top Flight

Not a big club so can't imagine coin issue would be hard to resolve

So with Mullen signed on for another 2 years, will we see a back 5 of

    Cowburn
    Boogaard
    Regan
    Mullen
    Lee

Lee and Cowbie have shown enough that they can play a WB role.

    We havent signed Cowburn yet.
Tavares would be a massive signing.

I believe Regan hasn't re-signed yet either, but can only assume they are 99% coming back, both locals, Regan accepting the Captaincy and Cowbie playing regularly.

In the wake of the Crouch rumours I feel it appropriate to air my opinions and hear out the thoughts of others on who the jets really should bring in.

Im not overly excited about the Crouch move but we could do worse! though i'm confident its about as likely a move as the jets being purchased by Roman Abramovich.

The jets should focus on bringing in genuinely talented decently aged players like Marinković or Janko but i do see value in some experience. This would be my hit list if i was the big rich marn who likes horses and beers with tha lads:
    (not in order)

    -Mark Bresciano 35 (Currently Al-Gharafa)
    -Yasuhito Endō 35 (currently Gamba)
    - Kim Kallstrom 32 (FC Spartak Moscow)
    - Luca Toni 37 (Hellas Verona)

Obviously we need to focus on younger players for the future but in these players you could build an era from their ageing shoulders.

    Other fun ideas:

    -Freddy Adu 26 (Kuopion Palloseura)
    -Philippe Mexes
    -Rod Fanni 33 (OM)
    -Tomáš Ujfaluši (37)
    -Milan Baroš (33)
    -Djibril Cissé (33)
    -Anthony Réveillère (35)
    -Ricardo Carvalho
    -Florent Malouda (34)
    -Yossi Benayoun (34)
    -Joseph Yobo 34
    -Park Chu-young (29)

What do you think tink, sign me up?
    Your suggetions?
