    Kew - Re-sign
Brown - Re-sign, but on a substantially lower wage until he can prove he is worth more money.
Heskey - Not as a marquee - only under the cap [unlikely he'd agree]
Goodwin - release. He's got no right foot and every defender in the league knows it. He's not hopeless but I don't see him becoming the player we all hoped he would.
Gibbs - . release . We can always get him or similar on a loan if required.
Mitchell - Release. On the rare occasions we require him we could simply reshuffle the pack to accommodate.
    Bridges - Release.
Ward - Undecided. Lets see how he goes first.
Joel Griffiths - If he wants a contract we give him one. If he wants to look at his options, then we don't enter into a bidding war and simply thank him for this year and move on.
Solari - Undecided - I'd be happy to let him go if he doesn't look like challenging BK in the next year or so for the back-up spot.

Signings - We should be looking for a #10 and paying good coin to secure one.

    GVE has to go first.

I believe we would see improvements across the park, especially amongst the younger players, given the right backing.
Allow them to play and build confidence which we're not seeing at the moment.

That's it isn't it. Most of us would agree that the bulk of the squad should be good enough to get us finals football but as evident for the past 2 1/2 seasons the coach/manager simply doesn't know how to get the best from this group.

I was all for bridges getting a run at 10, as long as he played like ADP or Ono, slowing things down and picking the pass but he just seems to be way off in most things he tries so time to move on. As for Heskey, I've loved having him in the team but he's not working out this year. Yeah injuries have stifled him, as well as the shit set up from the coach but if we could get a Berisha we'd be heaps more lethal.

I don't know who's going to be the next manager but I honestly think if he has any level of man management skills, something the current manager lacks, we will see massive improvement in all our squad. Technically we may not be Barcelona but we do have a young, fit, quick mobile squad that if backed could surprise a lot of people.

New coach and a creative 10. With both the young blokes who have lost confidence could well rediscover it. We have under utilised Heskey from the start so any new manager had better have an idea on how to use him effectively if we are to keep him. Same with Griff.

Can't say I think we have that strong of a squad, 1 rb, 1 un-tested lb and a lb-come-winger who's also unproven at this level.

Before griff we had 1 old striker who was always going to rely on the players around him to work well and 1 un-proven young striker with potential (granted I actually do rate tagz).

It's a very in-experienced squad built on potential. There's lots of shoehorning and converting players (think goodwin, pepper, even zadkid to an extent).

Having said all that I do actually think we have some good players, better than we're seeing through GvE. Players like Brillante, Taggart, Goodwin, Hoole etc I think could be good performers but I just don't think GvE is the man for the job. Goodwin is playing on the left with Heskey up front and still consistently cuts inside and re-cycles the ball rather than hitting the byline and crossing to the big marn. I have come to the conclusion that this is direct coaches orders as he want's to be Arsenal or Barca and have ball retention as key. Impotent possession etc.

Granted we need probably a starting right back and cover for Nevile. Centre half we are fine if Kew re-signs. Midfield, I think Kanta, Zad & Beard make a quality unit, see our away game against roar of the potential defensively, in attack we need more creativity. Pepper, Ward & Caravella can cover. Wide I think Hoole has shown promise but didn't he start out as a defender? Goodwin has the ability but GVE has drained all confidence from him. Attacking Taggart looks the future but the one year contract is a worry. If Heskey stays I agree he needs to fit under the cap and the funds made available for a replacement. If griffo thrives and stays all the good, if burns returns the same.

So for me we need to strengthen r fullback, and an international 9 or 10 plus some squad strengthening...not much to ask hey.

I think we are good enough at right back but left back has always been a worry for me. Maybe a visa spot used there next year along with a #10 and maybe a winger depending on what happens with burns.

    Zads can play RB IMO.
what we need is someone in midfield who can control the game and a solid LB everywhere else is pretty well coved. move to a 442 diamond formation
    GK- Birra, BK
    RB- Zads, Neville, Hoole
CB- Regz, Kew, Chappy, New? CB
    LB- New LB??, Chappy
CM- Beard, Kanta, New CM, Zads
    RM- Hoole, Zads, R.Griff???
    LM- Burns??, Tagz
    St- Heskey, Griff, Tagz

    New CB
    New LB
    New CM

    Sign
    -R.Griff
    -Burns
Should see us pretty well covered for every position then

I think most of you guys have short memories. Brown came to us with a lot of talent and GVE has worn him down to ordinary.
Goodwin came to us with amazing talent and started unbelievably then GVE started messing with him benching him after being in the best players. After his Reading trial and Socceroo appearances GVE seemed to really mess with his head. Under a new coach he could be back to his best. If we let him go as some of you suggest he will come back and haunt us like others GVE has amazingly let go. He came to us as a left back and we are desperate for an attacking left back but GVE refuses to play him there. Some of these young guys have talent to burn unfortunately GVE is burning their talent.
