    Legend. Cheers.

He held it together and implied things without disgracing himself.

I would assume that this guy would be our marquee signing import, so any other imports would have to fit under the cap, I think that's what he means. in regard to our other marquess Taggart would fill the under 21 spot if he stays and we have the senior australian spot vacant.

Yeah, the bit about the marquee fitting inside the salary cap wasn't a quote but written by the journo. All Stubbins has said is exactly what Middleby has been peddling for years - they have their own budget in mind, and it's a matter of finding the right players with the right quality to fit inside that budget. Whether that self-imposed-budget is x% of the salary cap AND $xxxxxxx on a marquee player, or just x% of the salary cap - only they know.

Two-three years ago Robbie Middleby promised the people of Newcastle that money was set aside for both an international AND Australian marquee player. We got our international marquee, but never saw our Australian one. I want to know where those set aside funds went to.
    OK

I think you are being way too harsh on Rubes. If we had a creative player in the squad playing in the 10 you might see the best out of Ruben instead of having to create himself which is not his game. If we were any of the top 5 clubs we would be keeping Rubes and still signing a No 10 rather than the trade offs we are accustomed to being jets supporters.

Either 2 up front or a front three of:

    Griff-----New ST----Taggz

Judging from Adelaide fans I've talked to, Stubbins preferred a 4-4-2 with diamond midfield when he looked to have some form of control over the team.

    ------------------Biraz--------------------------------
    Neville--Jaliens--Cornthwaite/Beauchamp--Goodwin
    ------------------Brillante------------------------------
    Griff---------------------------------------------Carney
    ---------------------Burns------------------------------
    ----------------Taggz---New ST------------------------

Doesn't look the worst to me.
    OK

Calling him Sam because he will be South American, obviously.
