I didn't get the change to do this at the time, but here is a tribute to our departing captain - Ruben Zadkovich.

    Ruben Zadkovich

    * Debut for the club in Season 6 (2010/11) and went on to make 97 appearances for the club.

    * In the last two years, he missed only one game which was due to suspension.

    * Holds the following records for the Jets:
    - 5th most capped Jets player of all time
    - Received most yellow cards of any Jets player with 32.

    * Started in all 97 of his appearances.

    * Scored 6 goals and provided 12 assists.

    * Has played the third highest amount of minutes for the club (8526) behind Elrich and Thompson.

    * Zadkovich was booked the most times by referee Jarred Gillett (5 times).

    * Zadkovich received most of his yellow cards against Brisbane Roar (6). He his first two bookings against Perth Glory in Season 6 but didn’t receive another booking against them in Jets colours in the following years.

    * Unfortunately during his time with the club, Zadkovich never got to celebrate scoring a goal at Hunter Stadium. All of his goals were scored away from home.

Montana may turn out to be a weapon but if we are serious contenders we need 3 proven strikers and rotate based on form/injury/suspension. 5 man benches.

At training today, they were working on shape and playing out from the back with a 3-1-4-2 structure.....

Talking to a couple of players in the last few days (not saying who as don't want individuals in trouble if what they said was an issue) and both said that the Paartalu deal is done, he has signed they just have to hold off on the announcement for some reason. Hoping they have good sauce.

    Hope so!
So far this season all rumours have pretty much come through. The Spanish midfielder being the only one i can think of that hasnt and even that really was happening until he pulled out!

MCFC CEO Scott Munn was quoted over night that they have 2 squad positions left and both marquee positions to fill.

All our HAL opposition are chasing other targets. It's inly the Jets saying they want Paartalu.

IMO it's the Jets if he moves to the HAL but could still move elsewhere in Asia

I thought I established last season that Birraz filled that role. Remember the goal keeper is the modern Libero.

I don't care really, I just wanted to use the term Ljubero. I think the great man would appreciate it.
