Fresh ideas
everyone who wants to coach gets "taught" how to coach from a manual and course thats outdated before it was printed,
juniors all have to play the same formation and predictible football
ever since all these coaching programs and licensing have come in Australianjuniors have fallen further behind (and we have more players to pick from than we did 10 or 20 years ago)
we produce athletes/robots not footballers
Ya right. I have watched kids in so called " select teams " have to play to this must play out from the back preached method and get smashed week after week and quite often by double figures. If they dared stray from this method of play they got hooked for a spell on the bench. The kids would come off shattered after having a cricket score put on them but the FFA's H Berger mantra was the way and the only way. As a result we do have too many players running around now who have had any natural instinct to play what they see in the moment well and truly coached out of them.
Hearing Maitland are charging $10 to get in to see the exhibition against the jets tonight ? Serious ?
What I can"t work out is they were due to play Hamilton but it got canned because lights weren't 200lux for live streaming, Azzurri ( Lisle Carr ) didn't have the 200 lux required, or it was going to be on up there, has Maitland really got 200 lux lighting or are they telling jets porkies
BTW - If Azzurri got a game, would have been gold coin going to a local charity.
Check Maitland's Facebook page... Says they are trying to recoup the "significant financial loss" from the early season wash outs...
