It is actually pretty dumb idea

If they are so worried about a backlog of washouts fix the drainage at the grounds then so games can be played more frequently in wet weather spells and you have no need for a spare weekend then.

    Was at Lakes most recently.
If I remember correctly, coached lakes in Newfm the year they gained promotion and got them 2nd? In NBN the year after. Eventually gave it in towards the end if one of the seasons for other commitments.

Paper said he's coaching kahibah ATM

FORMER Adamstown assistant Graham Law will return from Maitland to coach Rosebud next season, it was confirmed on Tuesday – a week after the move was flagged in the Herald.

It was also confirmed former Lake Macquarie coach Chris Turner will take over at Maitland for their return season in the Northern NSW National Premier League, an appointment which was first reported on the Herald website on Saturday.

Turner, who coached Zone Premier League club Kahibah this year, steered Lake Macquarie back to the NNSW top flight for 2011.

He last coached the Roosters in 2013, when he quit near the end of the season citing work commitments.

Lake Macquarie finished last this season under Gary Rowe and were relegated.

Law will replace former Maitland coach Anthony Richards at Adamstown.

Richards took over from Glen Chapman and and Law at Rosebud for their return to the leading division this year and guided them to eighth.

Under Law, Maitland ended 12 years of frustration in first division after securing the minor premiership and promotion on Sunday with an 8-0 thumping of Toronto-Awaba

Technically can clubs approach players as the season is still in progress?

Highly unethical in my book for clubs to do this. But it is part of the game.

Yes they can. Should be done after grand final but clubs want squads sorted as soon as possible

Northern are chasing certain clubs & their grounds already for games to be played mid next week. Understandably it has rained for the best part this week however does also come down to clubs investing funds into their facility i.e drainage

Weston have a good following and grand finals always draw some people regardless.
Northern already planning to replay at least the First Grade fixtures mid next week should they be washed out so Weston & Jets won't automatically qualify.
