JD will be inconsistent imo. Bit like Birra but worse.

I expect more than a couple howlers thrown in between the odd great save.

The test for him is to perform week in, week out and eliminate those minor errors that can easily turn into major **** ups.

took JD 3/4 of the match to even start looking like he knew what he was doing - Timmy would have put 15 past him by then...
Life isn't the same without Con... but it can only improve without Tinks...

Another week on, and this is still accurate.

Great save mixed in with a couple of potential howlers

De Gea didn't dive for a FK this morning in the Europa League. Shit **** needs to learn how to dive as he obviously has NFI has to keep.

If JD gets injured/sent off, we are going to have a 15yo in goals, right?

    Yep.

McKinna has been on Twitter this morning saying we had 2 options ready to sign but both pulled out yesterday.

Why? I would much rather we don't **** about getting a third/fourth/fifth choice GK addition and use our youth from the bench.

Why would someone who is going to play regularly in NPL want to sacrifice off-season and another full time job to sit on the bench behind Jack Duncan? It's not as if we had a starter lined up.

It's like people going on about how "we should have signed Lujic" (people from many clubs, not just here) but if he wants to live in Melbourne, work full time as a teacher and not be third or fourth choice behind others, why is that a club's fault?

I don't wish bad things on even my worst enemy but man how awesome would it be for Duncan to come down with a 24hr virus on Saturday morning.

I'd give Ebola virus 3pts in man of the match.

Remember the young kid who came on for Burnley (or similar) v Spurs in the 80's....lost 8-0, went off bawling his eyes out and was hardly heard of again.

Not when it gets to a 15yo kid.

We are a joke of a club. BK has been injured for what 5-6 weeks now. Seriously does Lawrie actually do anything but throw non gypo friendly coaches under the bus.

I will bet the lack of signing a keeper is due to what we are offering. BK would be on a reasonable income considering the years he has been with us. We can offer that income to any injury replacement keeper, yet 1 by 1 they don't want to play for us.

Who did we have lined up? Were they only backups to JD? Your argument assunes a back up only. What if it was a potential first choice?

I would think that a keeper with ambition would take a chance. The money will be ok.

Anthony Bouzanis was one of them... so yeah, pretty sure we were only looking at a backup to JD.

The other one was "contracted to a club" so, at a stretch, Janjetovic or Young, maybe? Both of those would take the starting spot over JD (you would think) but if it was anyone other than those two we were chasing, none would be more than backup.

Lawrie did say (Twitter) they approached Ante for a second time and he declined the offer.

Good. Let his heroics live on in memory and not be sullied by a season of utter shiteness.
