    Rock on.

Hey Hawk, whatcha think about Wade? Legit long term keeper?
Dafuk is a beeliebering and what does it have to do with cricket?

Who would you rate as a better offie then (keeping in mind the Murali asterisk)?

harbajan comes to mind as about at least 600% better than Swan.

Also Murali doesnt chuck*. Not any more than Malinga or Tait anyway.
But anyway, dont let aussie pride get in the way of your prejudices.

*and by chuck i mean he was reported, then cleared. So by definition that means he doesnt chuck. Maybe your asterix needs to say "in my opinion, Murali chucks". Id respect that more.

First of all, I'm not after your respect, so if you were mistaken into believing you are worthy of my respect, I feel sorry for you.

Secondly, Swann has both a slightly better average, and a far superior strike rate to Harbajahn. (Swann a wicket every 10 overs, Harbajhan a wicket every 11.5)

Thirdly, if it was some sort of Aussie pride holding me back, wouldn't I have picked an Aussie spinner to base my assertion on rather than a Pommy one?

Finally, to quote my Sri Lankan Brother in law: "of course Murali chucks it. They wouldn't have changed the rules for a legal delivery for a white guy".

Next time you try to be a keyboard warrior, back it up with some facts.

oh wow. sorry if i offended you. no you dont need my respect, so we're good there.

now for some facts you asked for.
rough numbers Swann has approx half the wickets from half the tests. Similar numbers for one dayers (dont know if 20/20 is a great comparison due to different eras but if you want ill check them).
Taken alone you are spot on about the averages but Bruce Yardley and Nathan Lyon have a similar average to both Swann and Harbahjan. Where do they sit in your pantheon of greats? Id say no where near those two we are talking about but any one stat can be used to push anyones barrow i guess.
Strike rate, yep again good stat, but 'far superior' that theres 11 balls difference per wicket? Ok then cool.
My point is this, if Swann keeps up this pace he should reach what Harbajan has already done, except that Swann is about a year older than Singh so whether he'll get near his totals is debatable.
Going off this rationale you can argue Michael Clarke is a greater batsman than Ricky Ponting? Dont know who would think that. Do you?
Singh HAS done it, Swann MIGHT do it.

Therefore in my opinion Harbajan has been a better bowler over the last 15 years. In another few years that opinion may change, but it would help if Swann gets near the totals first.

As for Murali chucking, Sorry but it is just your opinion, (and your brother in laws, and no doubt countless more). Murali has been deemed to have a legit action so his records are legit.

As for the keyboard warrior comment, are you serious dude?

anyway am happy to talk cricket all day long carn aussie carn and all that.

Wado is looking the goods. A keeper must be able to to bat and his 2nd century just about gets him there.

Regardless of the pitch (and I agree with you on it), Warner's dismissal was a disc-race.
Worst part is that the debate has been around dropping Cowan from a top 3 spot (in favour of Warner, Hughes and Watson) but he's the only one with any resemblance to an openers technique or temperament.
(Yes I know he failed today too).
My point is that blokes like Justing Langer and Swampy Marsh must be rolling in their graves seeing this lot call themselves test batsmen.

...........and don't even get me started on Doherty and Maxwel.

was a pretty poor shot, and agree to a fair extent.

warner/watson/hughes - good when the ball/pitch isn't doing anything, not so good when it is.
