Oklahoma City vs Philadelphia is a cricket rivalry? They are over 2,000km apart

Hey, he'll retire as easily the 2nd best off spinner of his generation.
Not a bad way to be remembered.

Aussies not doing too bad. A lot rests on Pieterson for the poms. Must be feeling lonely being the only Saffa in the team for the first time in an eternity.

Cricket Australia taking a page out of RL books, record crowd my arse I was at the G when Warne got his 500th and there was not a spare seat in the house looking at the crowd from TV you could still fit another 10k in there easily.

Agree you should always bat first regardless of the conditions 99% of the time though being that they have back to back tests it may be slightly strategic move as they may not want to bowl last in Melbourne and then have to bowl first in Sydney and risk injury/burnout of their quickies.

At least bowling first here should see the likes of Harris be a much better chance of backing up in Sydney as they should have had that extra day or two of rest

If they were that worried about burnout they would have rested Harris after Adelaide innit.
Bloke just bowls then gets on the turps.

Choosing to bowl first in a dead rubber isn'ta bad way of getting the "we need to chase xxx to win" mentality. It's probably decent practice for bowling on a Day 1 pitch too.

And is 6 for 230 odd really an even day like since of the shit I am reading?

Brett Lee didn't bowl flat out but he did hit Piers Morgan a few times. Piers Morgan had no idea and was backing away / jumping around in the crease. Note: Lee was bowling down leg side to make sure he hit Morgan as he backed away from the ball before Lee had even released it.

Sounded like a great line to bowl to a fat **** like him.
