Best I could find on every player, Furns! P.S. wasn't a fan of the colour-coding. Also it is insanely hard to tell who is and isn't apart of that youth/apprentice contract so I dropped that out. Rumoured players may or may not be legit, but my best bet.

Full steam ahead.
right from that list am happy to give another year to Mitchell, Carney, Griff
Rest can gtfo
Must throw as much money at taggart as possible to keep him here at the Newcastle jets at least for next season.
Taggz is already signed for next season.
I would probably be signing him to a longer better deal, so that we can maximise any transfer fee that may eventuate.
The other 2 blokes I agree with particularly that Griffo bloke.
As for Mitchell. We really need to be signing better quality than him.
Yes we could re sign him but we have too many players already on the books of his ilk ie Average who will eventually **** up
The signing of Kew Jaliens shows someone has a clue so there is room to believe we could sign a very good player to partner Kew.
Its high time we actually assembled a squad capable of making the top 6 in a 10 team comp. Mitchell to me is the signing of a club who wishes to try and make the 6 not the signing of a club who expects to make the 6
Particularly the last 3-4 games, I think Mitchell has been absolutely excellent. He's a local, he plays for the shirt, he gets stuck in, he wins headers, he makes the challenges he needs to (even if some are a bit rough) and he is keeping possession way more than last season (and I still blame GVE and his sytem for that, and not Mitchell). I don't see what else people want. He perfectly compliments Kew, and they are forming quite a formidable partnership. And he's keeping Regan & Chapman out of a job, he's doing so well!
I quite like every player in our squad who is coming off contract (bar Bridges, for well-documented reasons). I'd love to see them all re-signed (particularly Mitchell & Griff), assuming we don't have the drawing power plus audacity and ability to attract better players (and, assuming we're typical jerks, this will be the case).
I'm sure we will do as that's our style - rather than signing good quality skilled players, sign players who are demonstrably poorly skilled, have a long term trend of being crap, but are currently performing somewhat better than said long term trend.
Aiming to sneak into the top 6 in the last round by goal difference FTW!
Gibbs- Release

Same bloke dogged it for Harolds goal at the weekend/
Have a look at the replay and explain to me what he was doing???
As for him keeping possession Have a look at where he keeps possession. Most of his passes are back to the keeper and the bloke many a time has the first instinct to go back rather than play forward at all
I never said he wasn't at fault for things nor didn't make mistakes. Every player does. That's usually how goals are scored. I still think he's incredibly solid, and very suited to our club.
I have honestly barely seen him play a backpass this season. I think your views are from GVE days still - which I have said many times should not be used to assess him as that system proper set up the centre backs to look bad. Show me evidence of him "mostly" passing back to the keeper this season (and moreso these last 3-4 games) and I'll probably be more open to your opinion - until then I will be of the belief you're holding a grudge from last season still.
Very suited to our clubs continued desire to seek and achieve mediocrity.
Watch him on the weekend instead of Bridges:whistling: and see how often he needlessly passes back to BK when he could pass forward. Ball comes back to him and he will choose the easy option and play it back and negates the option to keep possession and look forward for a suitable pass
Mitchell deserves another contract. He's been one of our best since GVE was boned.
Obviously not a popular opinion (that Mitchell is good enough for us/the league), but myself, pv4 and Dunster will just make our own little Mitchell Appreciation Society lol
Someone go and quiz Chapman about his future at the clubQuote:
PLAYER APPEARANCE | Newcastle Jets players James Brown and Connor Chapman will be at Telstra Kotara between 6pm and 7pm tonight! The players will be giving away Jets and Telstra merch, signing autographs and will be handing over a signed 2013/14 Newcastle Jets home strip to the winner of last month's Telstra Broadband competition. Make sure you pop down to Westfield Kotara to say hi! #NTUA
Ward - don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Spotted Marcos Flores in the Jets box with the other players and Tarek. Sorry about the picture quality
Interesting...Attachment 679
He'd be a great addition.... So long as we don't expect home to win us everything.
High expectations seem to kill off any hope.
If he's not wanting massive coin I'd be happy with him dictating play next season.
New pitch needed though.

Surprised it was Brillante. Not surprised that the finalists were him, Kew and Taggart.Quote:
Hunter Ports Newcastle Jets utility Josh Brillante has capped off a stellar season by being named the Club’s Player of the Year for 2013/14.
Brillante, who was one of three finalists along with striker Adam Taggart and defender Kew Jaliens, accepted his award at Hunter Stadium on Saturday night.
The versatile Brillante made 24 appearances for the Jets this season, featuring prominently in both central midfield and at the right fullback position.
Brillante contributed three goal assists during the 2013/14 campaign and his consistent performances on a weekly basis earned the praise of many pundits.
Being named Jets Player of the Year for 2013/14 completes an outstanding 12 months for the 20-year-old, which saw him make his Socceroos debut, represent the Young Socceroos at the FIFA U-20 World Cup and be named Australian Young Footballer of the Year for 2013.
Jets interim head coach Clayton Zane said Brillante was a thoroughly deserving recipient of the A-League Player of the Year accolade.
“Josh has had a standout year and was excellent for us all season, which is a testament to his attitude and work ethic,” Zane said.
“He has continued to grow and develop as the season went on, doing his job week-in, week-out no matter what position he played in.
“The manner in which Josh has carried himself throughout the season and the character he’s shown on and off the football pitch indicates he has a bright future in the game ahead of him.”
Despite narrowly missing out on the top prize, Taggart did not leave the awards night empty handed, picking up the Members Player of the Year Award and winning the Club’s Top Goal Scorer accolade after bagging 16 goals this season.
Radovan Pavicevic was named National Youth League (NYL) player of the year, while Kale Bradbery received the NYL Top Goal Scorer award.
The Jets’ W-League Player of the Year award was presented to Gema Simon.
The 23-year-old performed at a consistently high level for the Jets women throughout the season and was a worthy recipient of the prize.
Newcastle Jets 2013/14 Award winners:
A-League Player of the Year: Josh Brillante
A-League Members Player of the Year: Adam Taggart
A-League Top Goal Scorer: Adam Taggart
W-League Player of the Year: Gema Simon
National Youth League Player of the Year: Radovan Pavicevic
National Youth League Top Goal Scorer:Kale Bradbery
Club Person of the Year: Brent Anderson
Seriously who are the flogs who voted for this??
As if Griffo wouldn't win the fans player award??
How the **** did Taggz win it?? No offence but the Griff has him well covered in the popularity stakes
Who was consulted on this shit?? I never voted
Farking Dis Grace
I have no doubt that Taggz will prove himself to be the best striker we've ever had at the club. He'll be showing us his talent in a better league within a year or two for sure.
I like Griff but he's no competition for Taggz these days.
2013-14:
Griffo - 3 goals
Taggz - 16 goals
It is really that surprising Taggz is our most popular player?
Might be a more valid comparison if you take into account games played, and position.
A straight comparison on goals scored can be shot down in flames so quickly it's not doing your argument any favours.
I agree taggz has been better this year, but that's to be expected given his age, position, tactical use by coach, games played etc.
Some of his finishing was deadset honking hey, and you could argue that it made a big difference to some of our results (e.g those 2 clear-cut chances against Perth, one when Duncan ****ed up and he had an open goal, the second when he was one-on-one).
Come to think of it, how many one-on-one opportunities did Taggart actually bury? It seemed like he would always run super close to the keeper and have his shots blocked.
NB Obvs the kid is a freak and has the potential to do great things. Comparing him to Griff though, lol.
i think your comparing griff to the wrong guy compare griff to everyone who played on the wing this season
griff 3 goals
hoole 0
virgilli 0
goodwin 0
burns 2 (in one game)
all 4 of them played more game time as well.
SIGN GRIFF
Goodwin scored 2 goals though
Ahh forgot about his double against Wellington
Good pickup
rof at blokes saying tagz missed some sitters, bloke has created so many chances for himself that it's irrelevant. lets maybe look at the other goons we had playing up front all year for someone to blame.
imagine if he played at a decent club ffs.
not that this will happen.
but what if the players decided to stay and achieve something at the club.
brillante, taagz, & co should be grateful the club brought them here as they were unproven (i'm aware they had massive potential). It would be awesome if they were to repay the faith and hanged around for one more season.
i'm sure the club is taking a risk on losing out on big money for the transfers they may receive but the risk they take in losing these players and not replacing them with equivalent valued players is much more worse.
hate to mention the gypos, but all there young guns hanged round to win the premiership (bar rogic) sainsbury, ryan & bozanic all left after achieving something.
They need a coach who they believe can help them achieve that. Otherwise they are just treading water.
