Surprised this bloke has never had a gig in the HAL. Done alright in the NSL with Sydney Olympic winning the title in the early 2000's and never got a start yet most of his contemporaries of the time Culina Kossie Farina Mitchell etc have been given a go in the HAL

Also was disappointed with Ribeiro when he came on the other night. Really looked lost.

^ Too soon to judge, needs more minutes. Woukld like to see him given an opportunity and the confidence from coaching staff to start a game then make a call.

ryu looked pissed at him when he didn't play him the ball and ran it himself.

but in saying that, ryu gets pissed at most of his teammates on a regular occasion. seems like a massive whinger at most times.

he was barely touched ffs :rof:

he mis-judged the cross, which cost us a point. he was poor this week. last week he was exceptional.

tbh, it shouldn't be a surprise, given his career to date. he's got a history of clangers - hopefully he can iron it out as his career progresses.

Difference between Schmeichel and BK though is that Schmeichel would make the amazing save, scream at his defenders then keep being amazing. BK on the other hand would be a statue, concede the goal, chuck a tantrum and boot the ball back in to the net, scream at the defenders and then continue to be BK and not Schmeichel.

Agree with you on Birra and his history of clangers... was it the U19 Asian Cup or something a few years ago where he dropped a massive clanger? To be fair to him though, he has spent his entire career (until Newy) on the bench so has never had an extended run in goals to get better. Hopefully he gets that with us.
