Surely Sydney FC are the only club dumb enough to dump marquee wages on Hersi?
Waratahs lose
Swans lose

Stayed up to watch a recording of jets mariners match
At least tomorrow can't be worse. The jets aren't playing.
People that shout from one room to another. Walk the 10 steps and look at the person you are trying to speak with, lazy cvnts.
Doing field maps for data going between systems, so tedious.
People who dress up in silly outfits to 'celebrate' things like St Pats day.
They are up there with morons who get decked out in their finest to go to the Del or Cricketers to watch the Melbourne Cup.
I hate those people.

WGMG#1: people who collect autographs.
What's all that about?
WGMG#2: people who pay for stuff because it has been scribbled on by a famous person.
Just a seriously ****ing weird subculture.
I can understand people collecting autographs or getting shirts / balls / books / albums signed. It's proof that you met the person, both for yourself and for bragging rights.
I have a few albums signed, if I ever got the opportunity to get henry / bergkamp / wengers signature there is ZERO doubt that I would and I would cherish it.
This is the bit that disturbs me most. If people need to provide some sort of written evidence by means of a scribble on a bit of paper to prove that they met a person of note then I reackon they need new mates.
It also concerns me that people feel they 'met' someone famous because they leaned over a fence and thrust a shirt/book at them to scribble on.
I know I'm in the minority on this but I honestly don't get the whole autograph culture.
This bit also intrigues me. Obviously you are a big fan of Arsenal, and have had many awesome moments over the careers of those blokes. I don't understand how having the blokes autograph enhances those memories or in any way validates your fandom.
Henry's chip over Barthez will always be an epic goal, I don't think people who have his shirt/autograph or have met him should be able to claim any more ownership of that moment.
(BTW not having a crack at you, everyone has their own takeaways from events like those, this stuff is just a mystery to me).
It's not about ownership of the moment, it's about mementos that help to trigger memories (and emotions).
It's just symbolism.
If I had a shirt on the wall with Henry's signature it would do many things
- Remind me of my love for him (which would bring me joy)
- Remind me of the time I actually met him (see above)
- Bring me joy from bragging to friends etc
The signature represents the level of fanaticism I have for a particular person, whether that be natural or healthy or not is another thing.
Each to their own, perhaps you don't have the same romantic streak as me, but when Henry returned to score against Leeds I dead set cried. Tears ran down my face.
But... TGSTEL!
Don't forget Chamakh and Park.
"Wojciech, can you see my quiff from there?!"
Anyone interest in signed jetstreams?
I can hook you up.
Remember when he scored that goal over Barthez
I was strolling down the road in Bath listening to the match on Radio. Was travelling at the time and missed the start was on my way to the pub to catch the rest of it. The way the commentators fapped over the goal made it sound something special so I ran up the road to the pub and got in there seconds after the last replays finished. Never seen the goal to HT.
Remember that goal more so for the run in vain.
Dogs barking at absolutely nothing at 3am, waking me and leaving me unable to sleep.
This is going to be one of those weeks.
Maybe someone threw them a frisbee.
mundane monday
Possibly. There is a thriving disc culture down here that was previously untapped. I am busy working on 3 (THREE) council proposals, all to be funded BY the council.
Blows my mind after living in Newcastle/Maitland/Lake Mac all my life where your rates get you sweet **** all. COUNCIL INVESTING in stuff. MIND BLOWN.
That I didn't think of using PV4's Avatar for myself
Being a football fanatic at times really is hard to ****ing take.
Universities.
They tell you everything is hunky dory. They tell you they have all your results. They pass you through everything. Then they say woops lost something ****ing important that affects your ability to start work in the industry you have been training for for the last half a decade. However instead of letting you know that they ****ing lost something they wait until you call them after a month of waiting for 7 numbers that are the difference between being able to do what you want to do or not. When you finally do call them this is how it goes:
(Red me, Green them.)
So whats the process for fixing that?
I can't answer that.
How long will it take to fix?
I can't answer that.
Is there anything I can do?
Email us.
So I email them with all the details of the single piece of ****ing paper that they have ****ing lost and not let me know about until I call them after a month of waiting and the last line of my email goes something like this:
Please let me know when you receive this email.
6 hours later. ****ing nothing.
So I call again.
"Yeah, we got that, thanks".
And you know what not a ****ing sorry the whole ****ing time. you stupid dimwitted piece of shit.
for ****s sake.
People that passed uni.
Didn't realise football season started this weekend. I ref and got put on 2 AR's on Saturday arvo as well a centre on Saturday morning. If I had known I would have emailed in to say I couldn't do the afternoon (coz of the Jets game) so I email in 12 hours after we're given games but am slapped with a $20 fine, what a great way to start the season
Good work by the local fed to have football organised at a time the flagship side of the region play. So people who obviously have an interest in the game can't attend the flag bearers games.
FFS All games in the local region should be finished before the Jets play that day
Who's the bright spark who thought of that??
Member can you run for the board when the jets finally open things up.
