Player payment, or let's say Excessive player payments, are a problem for the clubs where they the clubs can no longer invest in their facilities and youth teams and general professionalism. At least magic have something to show for their years of hard work at Macedonia Park regardless of what they pay their players, can the same be said of other clubs, although a special mention for South Cardiff on their gold plated Chicken Shed and successful team.
It makes no difference if you spend 100k, 200k, or 10k for your players budget, everyone is in it to win it and you shouldn't be in the premier league if your main focus is not to win the competition. As with any major league in the world it's for their first team to win titles and not promote youth, if they are good enough they will play first grade.
If you feel like you would rather spend your total budget on the team to win 5 or 6k at the end of the season then so be it, but you also have a choice. A choice to be competitive, professional, viable. And on making the right choices Magic and some other clubs have got the job done.
Not against youth development but I would rather watch good quality players regardless of age as opposed to an artificially created league where youth are promoted at the exspence of older players because they are old.
