20% of the Aust market (and that figure takes into consideration ‘sporting apparel’ sold at Kmart Big W etc so Rebels % of ‘premium/branded/team’ merch would be much much much higher).
Rebel are 5 times bigger than their nearest competitor.
So yeah, they are the biggest shop window for your product, but hell yeah let’s just ignore that. Jets shirts are such destination products people will travel the earth to find them.
For me its no big deal.
Can't see anyone wandering into a Rebel store and going 'wow, they look like a good team to support, lets grab a jersey'. Supporting a small business is very Newy and I'm into it.
yeah heaven forbid they had more than one place to sell the jerseys.......
but i guess old 'Everything football' used their superior market share leverage to screw Viva into an exclusive distribution deal.
its almost as if shopping centres are obsolete.
had a go today at the launch to an old mate who didn't agree about the lack of gold in our current supporters wear offerings (NB: not the players wear, just the supporters shit) - looks too 'I heart the knites' to me, virtually all of it is blue and red with no gold at all (thinnest stripe of white maybe on some bits), can't see me investing in any of this this season for fear of having to enter into conversation with randoms who've mistaken me for an eggball fan, talking shit 'bout what a great job Nathan Brown is doing etc...

Apparently Hocking them now
funnily enough i was just on my way here to comment.
Rebel at Charlestown is now stocking a prominent display of Jets jerseys.
If the Gypo CEO had anything to do with it, then bravo.
If it was Rebels decision, then bravo and i hope it makes you lots of money.
but serious though good to see them all reading the foz and taking your boy Plagues' suggestions on board.
next stop, Jets shaped hats, proper beer and that Griff statue.
chop chop lads.
Winning does that - bandwagoners probably been heading in there requesting "jerseys".
Must say that white kit is giving me wood everytime I see it
There is a hell of a lot going on with the design with bits everywhere but I ****ing love it
Material on it I less keen on but all in all one of our best shirts ever
no way, white is the colour of surrender, next downhill step is to stop wanting goal celebrations against your former club, after that it's praising Arnie for coaching a super team, then oblivion...
cant agree turbo. The white one has a very Sampdoria feel about it, and Im seriously considering splashing the cash on one with Vargas on the back.
I usually dont get players names on my jerseys due to a long running superstition of something bad happening to the player but I kinda think that is moot in this case.
every team just about has a white away strip ('cept the Gyppos who still haven't grasped the concept of 'away' strips not being a second home strip...), they're virtually anonymous - why have the gold strip at all if we are never going to use it???
They're all trash. We haven't had a decent strip in years.

No....just no.
Im assuming we are wearing the strip against sydney fc?
Saw it yesterday at Rebel... ugly.
Gold would've been a lot better.
who designs this crap ffs
have you thought of just telling them to not make absolute shite?
We have a perfect opportunity to reinstate gold kits during next year's Asian champions league.
Gold has a special significance in many Asian societies (as does the colour red in Chinese communities). A gold-coloured kit with red and blue trim would be highly auspicious.
People across the Eastern world would ditch their gold statues of Buddha in favour of gold-kitted statues of Nabbout.
