Quote:
The Hunter Ports Newcastle Jets have granted permission for current Hyundai A-League contracted player Mark Birighitti to travel to Germany and meet with Bundesliga Club Bayer Leverkusen.
Birighitti flew to Germany on Sunday to talk to key representatives of the Club.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper will return to Australia on Saturday, linking up with his Jets teammates in Perth for their Round 25 Hyundai A-League fixture against Perth Glory at nib Stadium.
show us the money.
back in time to ride the pine
:rof:
Mods, can you please change thread title to Birraz Bayer Leverkusen's UNDISPUTED No 3 or 4
Ok let's get down to it.
Someone make a poll if it's easier but let's have a guessing comp as to how much we'll get as a transfer fee for Birazz.
I'll go first:
'Undisclosed fee'.
hope they dont serve hot drinks on the plane
Hopefully Middleby can actually negotiate a decent deal out of this. Besides the financial aspects of a transfer fee :roflz: (HELLO PLAGUE) would be good if any signing was contingent on a loan deal back here for another 12 months. Bloke would probably benefit more from playing in the HAL than training for the Reserves in Germany.
^ Seems a bit backward though, doesn't it?
I mean it wouldn't help the player because the club could just reject it, and it wouldn't help the club because then they've restricted themselves to a set transfer amount.
Who made up this clause, Middleby?
Good on the club for having any clause in there to be honest.
sell him to further his career but we better get a good replacement
The bloke is playing at one of the top 10 sides in Europe
To expect him to walk into the side is a bit harsh within 2 years of leaving the HAL
The bloke has a few years there and fails so what he can then get a gig elsewhere and will be a much better player for his experience
Reckon Biraz move to Leverkusen is off after Hyypia was sacked?
We have as a country produced many fine Goalkeepers over the years. Foreign spot on one would be a waste
Congrats to this bloke making the WC Training Squad
Love your work
Sure the BK Lovers will be eating dick as we speak
Newys No 1
Legend. Nice one birraz
Apart from a few select people, I think most will agree that he is a far superior keeper to BK. But the way he went to shit once he was in the media as moving to Germany, being a WC bolter and then the "I don't give a shit that I ****ed up majorly and lost us the game against the club's biggest rival" drama... made perfect sense to drop him and get him focused a bit.
If he isn't #1 next season it will be because he has made the WC 30 man squad and an overseas club has taken a gamble on him, not because he isn't better than BK.
Talented twat
Congrats to him. It will be a good experience training with the best
I'm not sure any of the "BK lovers" (of which I'm a vocal member) would argue that birraz isn't a better keeper.
Most of the arguments for bk arent that he's better, but just that gets the treatment he deserves, not all the abuse he doesn't deserve.... And that birraz is held to account just as much.
Congrats birraz. Hope he gets to go.
we are stuffed without birraz
