I think the HUGE problem we have here in Newcastle was perfectly highlighted in Saturdays Herald: O'Donovan being referred as an Irish star....The bloke never played for Ireland (And hardly played if ever in EPL). Kokko (Finish league [Member could score in that league even now], Brown, Poljak, Chinese Messi never played for their country. This is not an endorsement of Jones either - far from it. But the players are terrible. Nabbout was ok until he caught the eye of opposition managers and they soon worked out a way to nullify his games - and it's been successful in that he's done pretty much nothing of note for the last half of the season.
The previous manager didn't even leave us with a known goal scorer to lead the attack. Instead, he actually got rid of our leading goal scorer for someone that creates far less chances and indeed goals.
