After the weekends results Greta Branxton are Minor Premiers and promoted to Zone league 2 for the 2026 Season.

Congrats Greta, very interesting to see Kurri being downed by Southern lakes again. Should be an interesting finals series
Would be better to see Kurri be promoted into ZL2 with Greta seeing as Azzurri are reportedly finished. Mayfield don't deserve to stay up and having Kurri is better than a bye.

Greta 4-3 over merewether, Greta very clinical finishing almost every chance that came there way. Merewether had a few go begging. Charlestown 1-0 over Kurri. Makes for an exciting contest on Saturday, both games between them have ended in draws this season
Definitely felt like we (merewether) should have had the game wrapped up in the first 30 minutes. Not great that we lost a player to a disolated shoulder for the rest of the season to a unnecessary incident.Quote:

Charlestown will walk over Merewether no offence. Just my opinion they need to stop getting involved in social media fights and focus on football. Charlestown has gone about their business fairly quietly, the way to do it.

The first scenario, Greta will put too much pressure on Charlestown, they will concede some goals due to the pressure and they will go on and win the game reasonably comfortably by a couple of goals.
Second Scenario, Charlestown will hang on early and hold out the pressure. They will hit Greta on the counter. In this scenario it will be close and could go either way.
Im tipping Greta 3-1 , They are a big , intense team and when the momentum is on their side, it is hard to stop. Greta are dangerous of all set pieces. They are the fresh after having a decent run in compared to Charlestown who have played alot more games of late.
Either way, hopefully it's a good game.
Charlestown will win both grades.

No word on Muswellbrook, I believe Maitland are majority coming from the under 18s a grade side they had last year. I think suburbs lost a lot of their first grade, they might struggle. Charlestown Merewether and Kurri to battle out promotion for meQuote:

Only speculating but having spent most of my life up there the travelling is part and parcel of it. They've done the last few seasons in All Age Fridays and Saturdays. Shift work has also always been a huge issue up there. I'm guessing they have picked up a few new guys as I couldn't imagine they would sign up for Zone League again just to drive down and get beaten every week.
