I think stubbins/jets should sign spainish players as adelaide did. With spains economy still not as strong as previously, now is the perfect time. Look where adelaide are now.
I would be looking at defensive midfielder, left winger and a striker.

My players
Oscar sielva 23, def mid , former spain under 17 & 19. Swansea under 21. Now playing spainish 3rd tier.

Marquitos 28 , former spain under age international. Left winger. La liga experience. Played for Villareal, real sociedad and valladoid. Currently with sabadell in second tier.

David torres 28, striker, spainish
Currently with Platanias chania in greece super league.

Others could include
Gerardo Bruna arg 24, left winger previously youth player at real madrid and liverpool

Cristian lopez 25 spainish striker previously with huddesfield.

All are free agents at seasons end . I would make Marquitos the marqee.

When he was here we consistently came 7 out of 10

Seems to be consistently 3 above bottom.

7th place is a huge improvement from wooden spoon

There were discussion about the club being in touch with the agent of a former Socceroo which was rebuffed because of the club hierarchy.

I wonder if this will be re-ignited following the events of this week?

Brett Holman I think it was. I suppose it will be up to the new coach.

Was just going off what the Herald had in the paper today.

Their list had 15 Senior players and Lundy (trainee).

If correct that's 8 spots to fill plus 2 more Trainees.

Need to remember that the players have all been offered like for like contracts, they don't have to accept them, if I'm a half decent player agent I should be talking to whoever is interested to see if I can get a better deal, its not like the FFA is going to withdraw the contract offer, would be a PR disaster so the agent has the chance to shop the player around and worse case accept the FFA deal.

Has anyone read whether any players have accepted or declined their contracts? I wonder if they're waiting for the coach to be named. I probably would be to be honest. The FFA need to put a deadline on acceptance however.

Issues are players away on holidays may not be accessible to Newy if they have gone Interstate or Overseas

Other thing was PFA were advising the players to refrain from signing on for now en masse until they have sorted out a few issues with FFA in regards to super entitlements etc
