I dont think they are any chance and I don?t believe they are anywhere near ready for NPL, the system is wrong, buds should play whoever finished second, one off game winner takes all

Maybe, but it?s just my opinion, honestly do you believe they can go to NPL, they were lucky to survive 18 months ago, another 12 months makes a difference, a lot of hard work has gone in to be where they are today but I think it?s a step to far at the moment, if I?m proven wrong so be it, good luck to them.

I don't think it is incorrect to say that Adamstown at firm favorites to win on Saturday

If they manage to stay up...I wonder how they will go about not being relegation fodder next season...I believe they went to a lot of effort for this year (obviously for less than great results)

Agree after watching Sunday's game - they are a fair way off NPL. I think at worst a playoff between 2nd and 3rd then the winner plays second last in NPL. I don't believe the team coming 4th (in what was effectively an 8 team comp given Wallsend's form) should be getting an opportunity at it. Just my thoughts.

West Wallsend, who finished 4th, were 10 minutes from sending Adamstown down don’t forget. I’m not sure the conditions on Sunday were conducive to quality football. Will be interesting to see how it all pans out in a one off game.

Stags literally just won a playoff between 2nd and 3rd and are now versing 2nd last in NPL? What you just said should happen is what has played out? Would Buds really want a 2 week break before playing a pro/rel game?

And I reckon the Federation will be nervous about this result, wasn?t that long ago TA couldn?t fulfil quota of youth teams in NL1, that won?t be acceptable in NPL

Stags filled more youth teams than their opposition this weekend so not sure what your point is.Plus,Toronto won a youth grand final whereas their opposition on the weekend didnt get any teams in the semis.I get your point that the past was an issue, but Adamstown is by far the scarier option for keeping youth competitive in the short term.

Who cares about youth teams, it?s our regions best competition and we need the best sides in it regardless of how many under 14s someone has , personally I don?t see what rosebuds has to offer differently if they stay up, they haven?t appointed a coach for next season and I?d say they?d be dormant in the player market, maybe I was wrong, cmon stags

Also a FA requirement for Northern to be able to use the NPL brand.

I think it's wrong to try and claim Stags are better because they had teams in a 7-6 team, "weakest" division and made more finals than a club playing a harder division with 8 opponents.

Great for them, but sort of made me see the point of the guy in the youth football forum was trying to make (before he went off the rails)

Agree with you as sent football goes...shouldn't even be required to have youth teams to be in that division IMO...just the best squad of 1st grade footballers they can muster

I didnt say they were better.I said they were in a better position to fill teams and compete with whats put in front of them compared to the direction that Rosebuds are headed.

I agree. Youth shouldn?t be a requirement to play NPL. With promotion through all grades NL1 might end up with half the comp not having jnr teams in the coming year. Where does that leave promotion etc. it should be the top 12 strongest clubs in first grade are in NPL wether they have Jnrs or not
