We had Edgy train at our ground this year, 90% were under 20.

Imagine it happening in the EPL if Man City says see ya Hagland, to old we have to a couple of 20 year olds play, that's the rules...

Football around here and the country needs to get back to basics, if a kid is good enough, he plays, if not he doesn't, giving spots based on age is the catalyst for disaster, what's next colour or race, maybe you have to be the 2nd born of a worn torn country in the middle east. FMD
EPL does have some restrictions to squad lists (so doubtless some good players do have to be moved on)

Talking about the Home Grown Player (HGP) criteria

8 of the 25 squad members must meet this requirement (32% of every squad)

The aim of that is to also improve the development opportunities within the football system

There is a huge difference between Squad Lists and Team Sheets though.

Putting HG players on a list is fine. Having to include 3 players under 23 and 2 players under 20 in your matchday team sheet just to fill a quota is nonsense and an argument can be made it ruins the integrity of the competition in doing so.

Getting the call up to 1sts as a youngster was an amazing feeling because it felt like you were rewarded for your efforts in 3rds/Ressies over the season.

Having it handed to me simply because I was required to fill a silly quota would make it feel unworthy and a false commodity.

Oh, absolutely...was just pointing out that there are indeed applicable restrictions in the EPL (I'm not saying it was good, or bad)

New management at NF but seems nothing has changed.

Clubs waiting days on end for a simple email reply on basic matters.

Nearly 4 weeks post GFs and some clubs still have not received their bonuses.

What do they get paid for ?

Clubs with a third grade will be stronger and the divide in clubs will be bigger.
    Hear hear !

Hearing separate third grade comp with 2 conferences ?

2 grades across all zone comps?

4 clubs in ZL1 this season didn't nominate 3rds for next year, only 1 from ZL2 this season didn't nominate but 3 clubs ZL3 did nominate. Looks like those ZL1 clubs are the ones letting down 3rds, not NF!

Westlakes(expected) they said last night they will be back with 3rds hopefully the year after.
Olympic ran 3rd, 6th, 6th not sure why they wouldn't go for having a 3rds, the club had a good year, only 1 win away from all 3 grades in the semis.
Azzurri ran 10th, 7th, 8th the peoples club, struggled a bit this year, is dropping 3rds from their roster the answer??
    Who was the 4th team???

Sounds like Azzurri and Olympic are taking the easy way out and can?t be bothered with 3rds.

Surprising from the so called peoples in Azzurri. You would think now that they are moving to Smith Park it will be easier to attract players.

Azzuri, Olympic, Westlakes and Minmi from this season's ZL1, Southern from ZL2 and then from ZL3 this season we've got Kurri, Merewether United and Nelson Bay nominating a 3rds.

Honestly the drainage was fine there. IMO the lights (literally only one lightpole) and the facilities should have been the priority.
