What might be more interesting is to go around and see what happens at training sessions, games, trial game, how many sessions clubs have, their facilities, the quality of sessions other than just providing rushing parents through courses to become ??qualified? and handing over some paperwork and getting a pat on the back and a gold or silver star?

You are absolutely right. I have seen it first hand the level of training sessions some age groups are receiving in a few clubs. For the money we pay, a quality well thought session should be a minimum to improve players skills, game intelligence and fitness.

I agree with MCG - have seen Adamstown training alot at speers point - that probably isn?t cheap - they always have big numbers so there must be parents who believe it?s worth the $$ so good on them they must be doing something right.

I understand this forms part of the reassessments
    .
games, trial game, how many sessions clubs have, their facilities
All part of the assessment with minimum criteria.

    Azzurri looks pretty sharp.

Lakes have a $70K player budget, they won't finish last, they should be up the top.

Magic will be the strugglers this year.

While Northern don't have the "balls" to make a policy, even though the title of the competition should tell us the policy, the team with the most "balls" should be favourites.

Azzuri definitely looked the goods after this weekend.
You could be right about Magic, the competition feels a bit empty with only 3 games now.
Good luck to all the girls anyway, hopefully there will be lots of good close games this year.

How bad was the rugby tackle from the Adamstown keeper. Surely has to be a red card.
Womens game gets alot of coverage, I think too much. The standard of play has to pick up to match the coverage given. WNPL reserve grade games are even shown live on YouTube. Harsh ?, maybe but seriously from what I've seen it's still a very much developing league.

Netball girls must seriously be shaking their heads at the coverage they receive compared to football, given the quality of their games.

Seems Adamstown more so. How that was not a red card boggles the mind.

From early looks Azzurri and Olympic battling for top spot, Maitland an outside contender, other 4 fighting for 4th spot.

Azzurri/Lakes will be closer, Olympic/Adamstown will be wider.

    I didn't do too bad.
    Maitland was 5-1 (I said 5-2).
    Azzurri was 4-1 (I said 6-1).
I got Olympic wrong. They drew at home.
