You don't see any half respecting football club on the planet move serious games to minor towns to try and attract new fans.
As for regional NNSW one of the drawbacks it isn't the Newcastle Jets responsibility to promote the game in the area.

None of these towns are gonna get an NRL AFL or HAL side ever.
So why piss into the wind fighting for hearts and minds when it doesn't matter anyway???
My point ain't about getting an Hal team in coffs. It's was about giving the local football community something to use to cut through into more column inches in local papers, more time on local TV, all stuff that will help grassroots clubs get sponsors and attract players.
But hey while ever we have millions playing the game and not many of those millions turning up to the elite matches lets just keep ignoring the grassroots.
Hearts and minds don't matter? Bullshit. Get major regional centres like coffs or tamworth or port Macquarie focussed on the jets, increase TV ratings for jets games due to nnsw towns all tuning in to watch and we might start to be able to argue with broadcasters that we do warrant a Saturday night timeslot and we get less stinking hot Sunday arvo games.
Their whistle stop tour last year got a whole heap of people in the manning area watching and traveling, and buying merch.
A better relationship with nnsw might see better links being built with Newcastle/hunter based clubs and benefits flow both ways.
Everyone in football has a responsibility to promote the game.
