Thread: 2025 Zone League 1

I love how the page knew they were going to get blasted for the game and got on the defensive early. But I ask why did they "start with ZL3 and work up the divisions..."? Nice way to stack the deck.

Tho Suns probably scared to be embarrassed on camera again if I'm guessing. Cowards

They are not playing Croatia this weekend though?

Unfortunately zone leagues peak is in the past. Next year will probably be the worst season in a long team given Croatia are leaving and a few big name players across the league are retiring due to many factors including how their clubs have treated them these past few seasons.

One thing I am interested in seeing is how Cardiff go next year. They are probably in the best position to succeed but will they? That's up to them really.

Genuinely interested why you think Cardiff are in the best position to succeed. They failed to fire this year and missed finals. They got some work to do

Mayfield, Kotara, and Uni all have young sides which positions them well for coming years.
    Suns have phenomenal depth.
Not sure about Thornton - unknown quantity (for me at least). Croudace Bay will be very competitive.
Cardiff and Swansea are both proud clubs with strong history, but will need to show more than this year. Warners Bay had a tough year - the mid week games hurt - but are a great club with plenty of youth. Olympic have quality but are an older team.
There?ll be plenty of interest in ZPL and although the great Dudley/Suns rivalry is gone I don?t agree that the peak is behind us. Certainly the quality of football was higher this year than any year in the past.

Always look forward to hearing your insights Mr Cell… that breaks my heart to hear about the big names / legends around the league retiring and being mistreated by their clubs. They will probably be replaced with boring NPCs now.

Newcastle football who’re the worst negotiators in history have given northern NSW football Dudley, Croatia and next probably Suns for what in return ? They’re killing this comp.

I also look forward to seeing Cardiffs progression their corporate sponsors will be unhappy with how this season went but likely bounce back next year

Croatia sure have knocked suns confidence down to an all-time low, turning down the opportunity to be on Bar tv out of fear of being humiliated on Camera

3 well contested games at Myer this afternoon.

Interesting to know what the coach from Kotara said to receive a straight red card.

Thanks for the Kepabi snack pack, tasty as always.

Maybe would’ve heard if it was on Bar tv. Could’ve been something racist? I only say that based around the posts on forums a few weeks back.

Racist my ass. Starting that sh*t you have no idea about as usual.
More appropriate is the ref was letting Suns get away with tackling infringements. Apparently you cant called a ref incompetent when its deserved.

I won?t mention on here what was said from the Kotara coach

But he should be ashamed of himself, he will be looking at a minimum 6 weeks

Kotara have not exactly covered themselves in glory in recent weeks have they? They may have won todays match but they have lost a lot of respect amongst the match going pundits

  15. #2115
Trigger, it is hard to believe that this was an overreaction by the referee, going off the coaches aggressive mannerisms and the referee abruptly halting the game.

It has been an unfortunate few weeks for Kotara South, with a serious allegation, and now the coach abusing a referee.

Kotara is a solid team with a serious attitude problem.

And that?s when they?re winning. What would he be saying if they were getting rolled?

Some blokes are slow to get with the programme

Terrible news. He was a great guy and was the heartbeat of Cardiff. Will be a huge loss to Cardiff and Newcastle Football. Thoughts go out to the club, his family and friends.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Andrew?s family and the Cardiff family.

Andrew was a friendly, passionate man. He will be sorely missed around the wider football community.
